Just wanted to start this thread to give hope to any woman that has experienced this type of pregnancy and to say that it does not define any future pregnancies. I had a blighted ovum in september 2024 followed by a D&C and gave birth to a healthy baby boy in October 2025. At the time it felt that i lost everything and that my body failed me and tricked me, time heals everything and although it was one of the worst things i have ever experienced it made me stronger. The fear remains when you get pregnant again but the joy that comes after erases everything, my advice would be take each step at a time and have faith.

Im so sorry for your loss and that you had to go through that. Iv never had a blighted ovum but have also had a lot of loss and a few needing medical intervention. I have been lucky that I have been able to create a large family inbetween my many losses and most of my children are rainbow babies. Hopefully someone who has been in your situation can take away some positivity and hope after reading your story and gives them enough strength to keep trying.

I also had a blighted ovum back in October 2025. We have just started TTC again now I feel ready physically and mentally. Thanks for the post definitely something I needed to read this morning 😊 x
