How long after LH surge/peak is ovulation?

Just curious for those who track ovulation in other ways and do LH testing how long after your LH rise and/or peak do you ovulate?

The general rule of thumb is that if you get the peak in the morning then ovulation will be the following the day - if you don’t get the peak until the afternoon/evening then it’s not the next day but the one after that ovulation happens

I got my peak in the evening two days ago but had a lot of ewcm this afternoon so must be O today rather than yesterday like premom is telling me

Sometimes EWCM can be after ovulation as well as before just depends on your hormone levels - also it’s better to have the sperm waiting for the egg rather than the other way around as sperm have to go through a process called capacitation which can take 12 hours before it’s capable of fertilising an egg compared to an egg which really is no good after max 12 hours or so

we only DTD cd 12,15 and 17 this month and ovulation was potentially day 17 or 18 so not holding out much hope but good to know for next month ☺️

I think it's really independent but yes I'd say generally the next day. However I get my peak in the morning of CD 14 and going off temps would suggest I actually ovulate that same night!
I use clearblue advanced ovulation tests so can't log them in the Premom app but I got my flashing smiley on CD 11 (23rd) and then started testing morning and evening and didn't get my solid smiley till CD 14 (26th)
then had my temp rise on the morning of CD 15 indicating i ovulated on the 14th (will be confirmed if I get another bbt above my baseline in the morning!
