12 days post miscarriage positive ovulation and positive pregnant test?!

Anyone else experienced this? I had a D&C 12 days ago for MMC at 9 weeks, still having some very light bleeding/spotting. Still testing positive for pregnancy so hcg still there but line getting lighter. I’ve been tracking ovulation for the last 5 days ish and been faint positive but today got a very clear positive on OPK and also had some EWCM type dc along with the spotting - anyone experience this?? Surely I can’t ovulate and still have hcg enough to cause positive pregnancy test?? Anyone??

It took ages for a test to go negative for me. Are you in any pain? Might be worth a call to the hospital to check for any retained product.

I'm pretty sure I ovulated whilst still testing positive. It is also normal to test positive on an ovulation test if you are still getting positive pregnancy tests (as ovulation tests also detect HCG). I did have retained product. I've miscarried twice and both times any remaining tissue was gone after my second period.

@Prelimnot any cramping or anything just some slight tenderness still and a few twinges here and there! But the hospital said it can take 3 weeks for the hcg to go to 0. Was just very confused by the positive ovulation tests alongside positive pregnancy tests.. very strange!

I ovulated whilst still getting a faint positive - from what I googled once HCG drops low enough then lh can start to rise again triggering ovulation
my tests only became stark negative after my first period (around 6/7 weeks later)

I tested positive for nearly 6 weeks after my miscarriage. Ovulation tests were also positive, but doctor said this is pretty standard when there is still traces of the hormone lingering.,

Thanks everyone, it sounds like it’s probably just the hcg making the ovulation test positive! Hopefully it clears out my system soon - just wanting to move forward now and start again really xx
