Who knew about lube..not me!

i learnt this evening that lube isn’t safe to sperm. Me and my husband use lube due to it being to sore without but I never knew..or had to know before becoming part of the ttc community that lube basically kills off sperm? Is this right? So basically I’m out this month already before I’ve even tested? (I’m 8dpo currently). I’ve purchased some fertility lube to use in my fertile window/ovulation day. But just wanted to know if, despite baby dancing on my peak and ovulation and other days in my fertile window..there’s at least a tiny chance I could be? X

You need to investigate why sex without lube is sore. That’s not normal.

Pre-seed is ok to use when TTC x

I 100% would not rule out pregnancy for using lube. Otherwise it would be used by many as a contraceptive would it not?
However that being said some are not sperm friendly as such and can lower chances but definitely not going to stop pregnancy occurring in all cases.
Everyone is different some couples use tracking ovulation to prevent pregnancy and are successful others attempt and it fails and leads to pregnancy. Some women on the pill have fallen pregnant...
So definitely do not rule it out!

@estellacandance I have a mild uterine prolapse still from my first son so constant rubbing against that gets sore. Nurse at the hospital recommended us both use it x
