I came off the pill nearly a year ago when my partner and I decided to start 'trying' for a baby. I say that in quotes because we basically said we would stop using any contraception and hope for the best - we have been trying not to put pressure on because I have PCOS and, like everyone else with it, have been told it may make it harder to conceive.
We always have strip tests in just to check every month or so (my periods have been irregular since I was about 17...) and I had already tried a test a week or so ago which was negative.
But yesterday I just had this feeling in me telling me to do another so after work, I did my first test (furthest left in this photo) and a line appeared. I had jumped in the shower between testing and that reading so it was over the recommended window.
I've since done three more throughout today (again, left to right) up to the one which still has the pink background because I did it about 4 minutes before the photo.
My partner is away until tomorrow and I haven't mentioned anything to him because 1. I don't want to tell him over the phone and 2. I don't want to get us both excited just for disappointment.
All of that to say, if anyone has had tests that looked like this, were you pregnant? I have heard of evaporation lines and so they could be that but genuinely none of my other tests ever had another colour (and trust me, my delulu ass has dug into the bin to check tests in the past just in case they had magically changed).
