Positive test this morning then heavy bleed

I did a test this morning after a few days of spotting and could see the faintest of positive lines on my test. But by lunch time I was bleeding and by this evening have leaked through with bright red blood and clots, much like the start of my normal periods. I also did another test this evening and it is now negative.

What is going on? Did I have a false positive?

It’s quite likely it is a false positive or chemical pregnancy. I’m so sorry. It happened to me before. There’s no harm in doing a test in a few days as bleeding can happen in pregnancy .

I would suspect a chemical ❤️

Thanks for this - I was just amazed at the speed at which it all turned around. Makes you doubt yourself entirely!

I think if it happened that quickly it was most likely a false positive.

That's why I suspect chemical. People allover have chemicals everyday and don't even realise because it's so close to period date. Unless TTC and testing then you'd see it.
