As per title really. Just wanting advice from others. Ive missed x3 pills in a row, long term relationship so sex is regular. I have taken a pill and will be continuing but I guess I want to hear others experiences. Ie. Pregnancy and more concerning to me would be ectopic pregnancy because that frightens the hell out of me and is really on my mind and am over thinking this. ☹️☹️
Pregnancy would just mean earlier than we expected but of course then feel worried if I am I am continuing to take the pill and wouldn't want that to cause a problem either. 🤯Shouldn't of missed them i am aware of that. Alarm set going forward. Appreciate any advice

Is there a reason why you’re scared of ectopic? Has this happened to you before?

modgepodge · 12/10/2025 21:23

It took me 3 months after coming off that pill to get a period and we were actively trying to conceive and nothing happened. So you may be fine. However I think according to the instructions even one pill 12 hours late can be enough so it must vary massively between different people.

Could you get the morning after pill if you’re worried?

plenty of babies are conceived due to pill mishaps so I don’t think continuing to take the pill if you are pregnant will cause a problem.

@modgepodge Thanks for your reply. We would like to have another baby but maybe next year. I am more concerned of an ectopic risk if I am honest and emergency contraception also imposes this risk.

Pregnancy wouldnt be the end of the world just earlier but its just the chance of being I guess and the risk I am just worrying 😕 cx

Nobody can tell you whether it will cause an ectopic OP. Perhaps speak to someone at a sexual health clinic.

CombatBarbie · 12/10/2025 21:49

Quick google says to take the current days pill and use extra contraception for 7 days. Pretty much same advice for other pills.

Orangeroses243 · 12/10/2025 22:01

@TheGreatWesternShrew absolutely no one can. Asking for piece of mind and interested in others experiences that have done the same as me in error ie. Missed pills. The outcome either didnt fall, fell and pregnancy was fine, when did they find out and when they stopped taking the pill then. Ect ect
I will be speaking to my nurse tomorrow of course too

With the mini pill you only need 2 days of pill taking to be covered against pregnancy. Have you had sex during the time you have missed pills?

Orangeroses243 · 13/10/2025 06:28

@dementedpixie yes two days for coverage. Yes we have this is why I am over thinking x
