Are the super early pregnancy tests worth it or reliable?

I think I may be pregnant, not my first time so I know what it feels like. It would be my partners first so I don’t want to say anything until I’ve had a positive test, but I have another week to wait until I can test with a regular test.
Are the super early ones you can do up to 6 days before your period is due worth it? Are they reliable? Or do I need to just suck it up and not waste my money?

First Response Early Response are the best tests and yes can detect pregnancy much earlier. More than 9 DPO might be a challenge so depends how long your cycle is

If you really want a clear positive or negative result then wait as long as you can. Squinting at tests and posting blurry pics here asking if we can squint at them will just drive you barmy!

I would wait until 12dpo or period due date and test with a FRER. They always, always gave me a clear result.

So they may show a positive, but at that stage a negative doesn't rule out pregnancy. So if it's positive then you know but if it's negative you still have to wait.

Thank you all.
So - I ovulated somewhere between 17-19 Sept and based off the longest my cycle has been my period should be due on 7th October. Does this mean I am beyond 12dpo? Could I test now?

Yes youd be 12-14 dpo now so a normal test should show a faint line at least

No they’re not worth it. Every pregnancy test regardless of what level they can detect at will have varying intensities of colour on the test strip and in my experiences the 25miu sensitivity tests still showed positive albeit sometimes fainter lines just the same as the early 10miu tests. I’ve used 6 days early tests that are just as faint as regular store brand tests that advise you don’t test until the day of your missed period. If you are say 11dpo you are going to get a positive line on a regular test just as you would get a positive on an early test. People slate clearblue to the ground but when it comes to showing an actual dark line the earlier on they are the tests for the job. They only get bad rep because they more often than not develop those ultra thin blue lines which it only takes a little research to find out it’s just an evap but yet people believe they are positive and then have had miscarriages/ chemical pregnancies. Be careful of the multipacks of strip tests you can buy online because they aren’t always reliable and do give false positives despite people saying it can never happen, it does and it has happened all too often with them tests including to me, wondfo and one step to name a couple. Honestly if you are pregnant then a test from the pound shop or home bargains is going to give you the answer just the same as an early test would.

Argh, I cracked and bought a 2 pack clear blue digital an hour ago. I gulped at the price but here we are. Tomorrow morning. Now I feel nervous as hell.
