What to expect from a miscarriage clinic

Hi,
I have just had my first appointment through for the recurrent miscarriage clinic. It's a telephone appointment and I'm not really sure what to expect and am a little anxious about it. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience or advice about it

After my last miscarriage I was told not to try again until I was seen by the clinic, but I am nearly 40 and we didn't want to wait.

Many thanks for any advice

I think they will ask your history and history of pregnancies in your family, them give you an in person one.

When you go in person you do the blood tests/scan etc. I was actually pregnant when I had my 1st appointment Blush but had to keep going with them and get re referred every pregnancy as that was the only way I could get blood thinners prescribed.

I hate to say it but my “appointment” was massively disappointing. I had to go to the hospital for mine and it was the same clinic all the pregnant ladies were waiting with their partners. I felt so uncomfortable.
I got called through and the dr didn’t even ask about anything personal except my loss history, which would have been on my notes. I was in the room for like 5mins.
I was sent for blood tests during a certain window of my cycle to test my fertility and potential treatable causes for my MCs. 5 weeks later for a letter through the post to say all is fine and “hopefully that is reassuring to hear”.
aka, discharged……
