I'm 34F and my husband (41M) and I have been trying to conceive since January 2025. Prior to this, thankfully, I had never experienced any problems with periods. I was always on time with a regular flow and without any severe cramps or other side effects. However since we started TTC, my body has started doing things I've never experienced before. I'm now regularly spotting in between my period and ovulation and at other random times in my cycle. At first, I thought it might be implantation bleeding but it last for much longer and seems much heavier. I've been keeping track of my cycle but now my period seems to arrive consistently early or late, sometimes by a week or so each way. I've been testing my ovulation but it's sometimes right at the start of the ovulation window or right at the end. I'm feeling so upset and let down by my body and I'm worried about what it means for the future. I've had HPV in the past but my latest smear (in March 2025) cleared me. I'm so worried it's something more serious.
Has anyone else experienced this? Did you manage to go on to have children? How did you navigate the uncertainty?

I would see a Doctor because bleeding between periods can be serious and wyou want to rule anything out. On the other hand, nobody tells you that in your 30s your periods change. I started to get spotting in the days leading up to my periods, which never happened before.

I am pro vaccines.. but had you had the Pfizer vaccine before this happened? It messes with womens reproductive systems. It is a known and recorded side effect now, after women hd to campaign to get it recognised. I personally know 2 women who have bled non stop since getting the Pfizer booster.

Also try collagen supplements.

@YourAmberEagle I'm in a similar situation to you, my husband and I are the same ages and just started TTC. I had a chemical pregnancy on our first month and my periods have been different since we started trying, spotting before and short but heavy periods and a longer cycle now. I have been to the gynae and been checked out and they said everything's normal so wondering if things do just change in our 30's...
