Are One Step Ultra Earlies as sensitive as they claim? 10mlU?

We are TTC baby#2.

I started off this cycle really keen and was doing OPKs until CD13. All negative and very faint. DTD CD 11&13. Then I went away for the weekend and didn't DTD OR OPK until I was back on CD17. On Cd17 I did an OPK and it was negative but much darker. DTD also Cd17. I was thinking maybe it was darker because I'd had a surge the previous day so ov day could have been CD17? But basically I don't know exactly when I ovulated , or even if I have!

Anyway now I'm CD28 (almost at the end of CD28!) and no AF. But I tested negative on a One Step 10mlU and considered myself out.. but now I'm feeling hopeful that maybe those tests aren't as sensitive as they say and I could still get my BFP?

My cycles are anywhere between 24 and 28 days but normally less than 28.

Has anyone tested negative on a one step and it been wrong? Tia!

Those tests are CE marked from what I can see so would have had to prove their accuracy to get that. No test is infallible and I believe they market 99% accuracy so perhaps you could be the 1%.

Did you use FMU and read the test at the time stated in the instructions?

Yep it was FMU and read within the time frame. It was 2 days ago though (cd26) but they claim they can pick it up 6 days before your period.

Those claims are made for the standard 28 day cycle with ovulation on day 14. Personally early tests worked for me and I got a strong enough line as I ovulated days 10-12 normally. If you did ovulate later on day 16 maybe that’s the reason. I’d test again in the morning and see what it says.
