12dpo symptoms but BFN

I've been reading previous posts for months now so thought I would start my own!

We're now 8 months into TTC, I have a nearly 3 year old also. Each month has been pretty disappointing!

Last cycle we really went for it in terms of trying. I use natural cycles, OPK, log as much as I can. I was (am) sooo hopeful this cycle but took a test yesterday at 11dpo and it was a stark negative which genuinely surprised me. I've had slight cramping for a couple of days but today at 12dpo some strange spotting... a pinky colour with more stringy bits (sorry tmi ha!) which is unusual. Usually when I get AF its straight to heavy period and nothing else.

Am I out of the game..? Anyone in a similar situation right now?

My little boy was a surprise 3 years ago so because I wasn't tracking anything its so hard to remember and compare to!

Hard to say OP - BFPs would often be there by 12DPO but not always. Have you tested again this morning? When would you be expecting AF to arrive?

Hi @Hlc18 . Could it be that you’re a little earlier than 12 dpo? In my first pregnancy I had a complete negative at 10dpo but by 12 there was a faint line x

Sounds like ovulation day is probably as accurate as you can get it with tracking. What tests are you using?

I saw the attached chart a few days ago. Looks like some women won’t get a positive on 12DPO on a 10 sensitivity test (like easy at home for example), so it’s possible to not have a Bfp yet, and if your tests are lower sensitivity like 25 then possibly even later.
