Can anyone tell me what a 'chemical pregnancy' is?

I keep reading about it here, but I have never heard of it before.

Its when you get a positive pregancy test at CD28, almost immediatly followed by a miscarriage. People call it a chemical pregnancy as you wouldn't have been able to see anything on ultrasound iyswim.

CP is where fertilisation and implantation take place but it doesn't progress much further.

It's essentially a very early miscarriage.

Early testing will pick up a faint positive test, but bleeding usually occurs soon after. If we didn't test so early we would probably just think that our periods were a bit late.

Aha,

Thanks for the explanation!
