Hello 👋🏻 I’m 37 and this is our first proper month trying for baby no 2. I’ve had 3 previous miscarriages/chemical pregnancies which we weren’t trying for. We are doing the SMEP so I’m currently on cycle day 11 and we started BD on Tuesday (cycle day 8 ), every other day until + ovulation test, then every day for 3 days, miss a day, then one more and then we wait! We are exhausted already 😂 and I haven’t even had my peak yet! I was just wondering, I’ve been testing since yesterday (AM and PM) but both days the line is darker in the AM? They aren’t positive yet anyway but is that normal? Has anyone else had this? TIA ❤️ xx

Mine were always darker in the morning as my wee was more concentrated. If you're testing why are you doing smep? Just wait until you're peaking and get some sleep 😂

Oh yeah okay that makes sense then, thank you ☺️ well it says you do it every other day until you peak, am I doing it wrong? Sleep is a thing of the past at the moment 😂 we have a 2 1/2 year old who thinks 3am is time to be up for the day, hence why I’m currently awake watching lightning McQueen while I send this message haha xx

Oh bloody hell, you poor thing 😂 well normally smep is used when people are finding tracking too stressful and just want to get back to basics. But I was like you in that we were trying for our second when knackered and sleep deprived (figured we might as well go again as already shattered 😂) so we would have sex twice a month if possible (peak day and the day after), although actually once a month turned out to be enough. We just didn't have the energy to manage every other day so focused our efforts! Best of luck!

Oh okay, so if you’re tracking you only need to do it peak, day after and day after that? I just don’t wanna tire us out before we hit peak. We are due to BD today but I’m exhausted haha. I tested and it’s still so light so I’m not at peak yet. Aww thank you, thing is after loss, even a BFP isn’t the end of the worrying, it’s just the start of worrying it won’t stick. Are you pregnant now? Xx

I'd only do the peak day and the day after peak. That's the day before ovulation (and gives the sperm chance to get into position) and the day of ovulation. The day after that you won't be very fertile at all so I wouldn't bother! Haha I know exactly what you mean, and then they arrive and you then fret over keeping them alive 🤦 it's never ending! No I'm not, my kids are just turned four and two now so we are (just) starting to get a bit more sleep again. Xx

Well I’ve still not had my peak and I now have a toddler with a sickness bug 😭😭 so don’t think we will be doing the BD tonight, hopefully we don’t catch it off him or we will most likely not be up for it at all when I am ovulating. Can’t be helped though, just hope he gets over it quickly. Aww yes that sounds good, we only want one more and then I’m closing up shop 😂❤️ xx
