At age 30 should I be worried about my blood results?

Its been ages since I have posted as I am trying to distract myself from everything ttc.

Anyway I need some advice before I go completely nuts!

To put it briefly we have an appointment next week at the infertility clinic. The night before there is an open evening at a private clinic. Today I thought it would be good to go prepared so got a copy of my blood results and referral letter. (Thought i was being clever researching my results online so as to compile a list of questions for the private clinic and thus get free advice from them so as to tell NHS consultant what I want!!)

My GP has said all results were fine. But I am now very concerned.

Although she says my Day21 tests indicate ovulation i.e. progesterone of 39.6 then 31.1 my day 3 results are as follows:

FSH 11.2 LH 4 oestradiol 116

I am 30 trying for no.2. I have searched these results and have seen mention of diminished ovarian reserve etc. On top of this DH's SA was great except for poor forward progression.

Is there anyone out there with anything similar or any advice as to what I can do to improve things / what treatment is best suited?

I am trying to stay positive but feel terrified that this is just not going to happen.

All this on the same day my pre-seed and OPK's arrived in the post to!

I will update next week when I have seen both private and NHS.

I had the day3 test done in feb, im on cd7 now and so cant do anything this cycle. If only she had mentioned this to me at my appointment months ago!

I guess I have more reason to be stricter with my caffeine etc now but diet wise I'm doing SW and I am at my lowest for years (bmi is 27.5 now and must have been 30+ when I had DD)

do you mind me asking if you are having any other investigations or is the FSH the main focus? I asked my gp what the next step would be and she said to have my tubes checked but is that realistic now?

Well I have now had the open evening at the private clinic and my first nhs appointment today.

Both went really well. The doctor we saw today was very positive. Not too concerned about my FSH given my age but we are repeating the CD3 test. If this comes back raised I am to get the private clinic to do the AMH test.
Will also be repeating DH's SA as this hospital has better facilities than the last nhs one when doing the SA.

I will also be booking a HyCoSy to get my tubes checked out on the first day of my next cycle. As I was feeling so positive after my appointment I went straight to my GP and got the chlamydia screen out the way!

Anniemac - have you been back to your doctor yet?

I think they are lots of thing which can help I have had this test done a few times and each time results have been quite different. My fsh was load higher when I was very stressed. I found taking vit b6 really helped me with my hormones in general started with 50mg now take 100mg (you shouldnt go higher) reflexology also helped me destress loads. Good luck with your appointment.
