I am a mum of 4 boys so pretty clued in with everything pregnancy related. However, I tested at 7 DPO in the evening and got pretty strong positives (see picture). Showed up within a minute and I was in absolute shock as I really didn't expect to see even a faint line but can't help myself from testing early. Anyone else get a true positive result this early in their pregnancy? All my other pregnancies showed up 1/2 days before my period was due. Any experiences welcome.

😅 @EmPeEf I'm glad you agree and I wasn't just being sensitive lol With all my previous pregnancies, the earliest I got a really faint positive was 12 dpo, which was why I was so shocked! Will be interesting to see whether theres just one and whether it might be a girl.. My little sister is 8 (21 years between us 🫣) and my mum said she got a positive super early, at 7/8 dpo aswell. Just 6 weeks and 3 days to wait until a scan 🙈

Ah wow! How cool having such a younger sibling :) enviable fertility in your genes! Been enjoying reading your updates, glad things are indicating alls well!

I might be 9dpo today… I made the mistake to test and I can see a shadow! But doesn’t look like a straight line and now I am obsessing over it lol. It appeared after about 15-20minutes. I know I shouldn’t read much into it because it is most likely and evap line 😭 But I didn’t have it yesterday. I will only know tomorrow or might try to test in the evening because I can’t stop peeing on sticks lol

Yeah can definitely see something but if its after the recommended time I wouldn't let yourself trust it.. I found my tests were darker in the evening.. keeping my fingers crossed for you @Shanya123 xx

@Mumofboys96 Thank you. I know, trying not to get my hopes up. I have been cramping like crazy last night, could just be induced. I’ll know for sure in a few days. I’ll try and keep you update it if anything comes back positive x

EmPeEf · 21/08/2025 15:14

@Shanya123 crossing my fingers for you. Can definitely see the shadow you’re talking about.

Shanya123 · 21/08/2025 15:18

@EmPeEf thank you! I will most likely test tomorrow morning - trying not to expect too much. It makes a lot of sense what you explained about the base hcg of every person. My 2 healthy pregnancies I had my first vfl at 11dpo . Actually with my second 11dpo am was negative and 11dpo pm was a very faint shadow that I barely saw.

EmPeEf · 21/08/2025 15:28

Yeah, both my chemical pregnancies only gave me lines on 12pm and I don’t think that’s because they were doomed. I just don’t think mine show up super early like some peoples.

I may have had a shadow at 9dpo today but I’d only believe it as I think I had obvious implantation two days ago.

EmPeEf · 21/08/2025 15:40

*dpo. Auto correct and won’t let me edit 😅

Shanya123 · 21/08/2025 18:39

@EmPeEf yes, I understand perfectly. With my boys I had cramping days before I got my bfp that is why I wanted to see the line of this easy@home test … because I convinced myself I am pregnant. Strange how the mind works. But perhaps we will both get a positive test these days :)

Shanya123 · 22/08/2025 07:27

Good morning! A little update: of course it was a dye run on my previous test. Fmu 10dpo today is negative. There is still enough hope until AF shows up, Wed according to my calculations

Mumofboys96 · 22/08/2025 10:33

So disheartening @Shanya123 but still time as with the rest of my pregnancies if took until 12/13 dpo to get a really faint positive. Fingers are still crossed xxxx

Thank you @Mumofboys96 x
how is everyone doing?
I took an easy@home in the morning and it was negative. Then I took another one in the evening and there is a shadow - it appeared in the timeframe, BUT it is not straight which makes me believe I might have a not so good batch of tests. I’ll test tomorrow morning as well and if there is still a shadow I’ll buy a First Response Early.

So annoying when you cant let yourself trust a test @Shanya123 🙁 the waiting is horrible! Hopefully some good news tomorrow xxx

Thank you, unfortunately it is negative. So out this month. Congratulations again on your pregnancy :) I will retreat from the forum ❤️ @Mumofboys96

cc99xo · 24/08/2025 08:53

I got a very faint positive at 8DPO in pretty much all of my pregnancies (some with good outcomes, some with bad outcomes - all singleton pregnancies)

Mumofboys96 · 24/08/2025 09:15

Gutted for you @Shanya123 🙁 Thank you for all your comments and wishing you much love for the future xxxx

Sorry for the bad outcomes @cc99xo 🙁 do you know if there was any correlation with gender? Just curious after having boys and later faint positives xx

I’ve got one son and will be having a daughter in Feb so don’t think it’s ever made a difference for me x
