Hello! First cycle TTC. I’m on day 28, I didn’t test for ovulation so not sure when/if it happened…

I’m 28 and also trying to conceive our second. My DD will be 3 at the end of September.

I’m feeling a bit down because I have the feeling that me and my husband will struggle to conceive.

I have longer cycles (between 32-35 days) so not sure when I ovulate. With my first, I used Ovusense to track it and it worked wonders.

I’m just unsure if I should go back to it or tried one of those rings!

I’m 36, have 2yr 2m girl would love another. Haven’t tracked ovulation. Period due in roughly 3-8days, chanced a test today but it was negative. Feeling a little ‘funny’ trying to remember what it felt like last time. I remember I just knew but I didn’t test positive until first day of missed period. Since having my little girl periods have been less predictable 24-29days

@Thebeing1i haven't been testing for ovulation either, just trying to check for ewcm and dtd every day or every other day, I thought i ovulated yesterday as it stopped but then ive had cramps this afternoon so wondering if it was infact today! Typical as we didnt dtd last night but we did 2 nights ago so hoping we are in still with a shot.

Im considering using ovulation tests next month if this cycle doesnt go well, but dont know if it will stress me out and I dont always seem to detect the surge!

I also feel similar to you, my cycles are anything between 32-42 days last few months, ive had an awful lot of stress on my plate recently which hasn't helped. Hope you dont mind me asking is there a reason you are worried or just a general feeling? I feel the same way, I am breastfeeding (want to stop asap!) And wondering whether it will impact conception, i am also older and fatter and feeling less positive!

Aww similar age to my little girl. Don't loose hope just yet, you are not out this cycle until your period arrives! When are you going to test again? Ooooo thats promising with feeling funny, do you have any symptoms? Although its so hard to distinguish between pms and pregnancy! In my first pregnancy I remember just before testing positive being really intolerant to the heat and having a really hot flash, I dont usually get that with pms!

I hope its okay to jump on for some reassurance.

I was due on the 16th july however I ovulated late, around the 9th.
From the 16th - 18th i had god awful cramps like i was about to start and nothing. I took a couple of tests that were negative however ive taken some today and yesterday, 6 day early ones, both red dye and blue and I swear they are positive? Yet on a normal test its very very light?

Would this be normal in line with how my cycle has been the last month?

@TrishyLou1111theh certainly look positive to me, I would try another test first wee in the morning and the line should start progressing, fingers crossed!! Is this your first?

Thank you lovely. This will be my 6th!! But never experienced it this way before. I definitely ovulated late, I had Mittelschmerz and used ovulation sticks around the same time. Wondering why I'd not ovulated when I was supposed to!

Usually im so textbook. And ive been worried as theyre not dark lines especially as I was originally due on the 16th! But if keep reminding myself because I ovulated late, I wouldn't be due on til 24/25th so expect them to be lighter!

@TrishyLou1111oooo amazing, it makes complete sense the lines being lighter if you ovulated late. With my first it was the faintest shadow but the following day I noticed the progression!

Yes I think it would be a lovely age gap but just going to keep trying. Definitely haven’t lost faith yet for this month. I was going to leave it until the weekend (if I can resist). Have a little breast tenderness and it’s not cramps but a funny tummy and remember I had a weird feeling first time round. I’m quite lucky I don’t germ many pms symptoms apart from the obvious. It is what it is, the waits can be hard and then the disappointment. Will keep the thread posted and good luck everyone!

Oh thank you lovely. I always have hyperemisis so im a little nervous as its gotten progressively worse with each pregnancy but very excited!

Fingers crossed for you too! We have been trying dtd every other day too but I’m unsure if I have ovulated because for the past couple of months my ewcm has been non existent, the only indication I might have ovulated it’s the twitches/dull pain!

im thinking that I might need to start taking vitamins. I have been super stressed too (I changed jobs) my last job was terrible for my mental health so my cycles have been affected by that too!

have you successfully used ovulation test before? I have never been able to get a positive test before 🥲🤣 I clearly don’t know what I’m doing!

I think my negative feeling towards it, comes from kinda of feeling like I haven’t ovulated and it took a long time to conceive our first! I’m also overweight. I was using mounjaro to help me lose weight, which did its job but I think it has messed my cycles up! I’m hoping that because I’ve stopped using it, my cycle returns to normal… probably tmi but I had a termination last year and I’m irrationally thinking that now I want to be pregnant, it won’t happen for me.

I’m not sure if I’m honest! I’ll probably leave it until next Monday when on day 34!

Fingers crossed for you! I definitely knew I was pregnant the second time around, even before I missed my period.

with my DD I only found out when I was 6 weeks pregnant, only because my SIL dog was hounding me down which it’s not normal for her to do that. I think I would have found out by week 7 because my morning sickness came in strong!

It looks positive to me too! However as others have suggested, you’re better off testing with the first wee in the morning!

how are tracking your BBT?

Hey everyone I’m 34 trying for baby number 2 with a different partner to my first. I had my copper coil removed at the end of April and only picked up a positive ovulation test in June so taking this as cycle number 2 - I’m 1DPO really hoping this cycle is the one!!! Good luck everyone 😀

Hoping I can join you all - it's my first cycle TTC, I'm due to ovulate on Sunday or Monday.

I'm 33 and have been meticulously tracking ovulation and temping for a while now, plus I've had some blood tests to see where things are with my LH, FSH etc. Had my copper coil removed at the end of June. I think my TWW for this month will be a bit behind you all! Wishing you all all the best for this cycle!

If I can hold out until then lol! I’m using an under the tongue thermometer x

I'd like to join. @Apricotmuffino 👋 OP, we're at the same point in our cycles, also 2 DPO today and TTC #2 (our little one is almost 3)!

However other circumstances are quite different, as we're older: 41 years old. We've been trying for almost 2 years, with 2 unsuccessful IVF cycles behind us, last one was in June.

No medical issues found for either of us, the only explanation for our lack of success, and the reason for the IVF recommendation, was age.

My body definitely needed some TLC after the last IVF attempt, so we decided to have a natural cycle in July, while we consider next steps. Aaand so, we have 5% chance of conceiving. Will the long odds stop me obsessing? Heck no, no chance 😅

I usually track BBT and RHR and start testing around 8 DPO, would like to hold on until 10 DPO at least... but who am I kidding 😂

I need a sanity check! So I haven’t missed my period yet but I have been having dull/stabby pains. I test this morning about 5am and I could just make out shadow on the test. Fast forward to 10min ago. I did a test and I can see a shadow again, I used two more test (same pee) I can see something. I know I will have to test tomorrow morning again but. What do we think? Can you see it? These are two different tests

Hello @Thebeing1 I think I see something on the Easy@home one! FRER might show better, but tomorrow line should be stronger anyhow.

@Happibarahiii thank you for sharing, I am so sorry you've been going through such a long tough journey - how are you? 2 years is a long time, its good news they haven't found any obvious concerns and I will be keeping all my fingers crossed that this is the lucky month. Snap with our cycles, its only 2dpo and I feel like its going so slowly! I am already looking out for signs, which is absolutely ridiculous. Are you going to test before your period is missed? Im going to try and hold put for the 1st or 2nd August if i can! But like you say who am I kidding, I will probably be weeing on that stick as early as 8dpo 🤣

How many days post ovulation are you? This was similar to my test with my first pregnancy, roughly 10dpo, I think these are early positives!
