Could I have had a chemical pregnancy?

Hi everyone, looking for some opinions or similar experiences!
So my last period arrived 3 days early at around 11dpo. I had taken an easy at home pregnancy test at 9 or 10dpo which was bfn. (I didn’t track ovulation this cycle so can’t be sure on dpo but my cycle is normally 26-28 days and this one was only 23). Anyway my period was extremely unusual for me, much heavier, bright red blood with some clots. Sorry for tmi but my periods are normally fairly light but even when I wiped for the second or third time there was bright red blood. It lasted 2-3 days longer than normal as well.
I didn’t think much of it at the time but I started looking into what it might mean and now I’m wondering if I had a chemical?
I know I will never know for sure, but for someone who has never had a BFP, even the chance of having a chemical would give me some hope that I can get pregnant 😞
Also my boobs have been so so sore this whole cycle ever since I bled and that’s not usual for me. I haven’t tested since as I don’t have tests and it would be too late now anyway.

if anyone has had a chemical and can tell me their symptoms Or thoughts I would appreciate it 🩷

I had a chemical but tested a clear positive on multiple tests including a digital at 10dpo annd 11dpo for the digital and then was testing positive for a week after that before I bled. So my period was over a week late.

I think in order for it to be a chemical it would have needed to show on a pregnancy test. The fact that yours were negative makes me think it wasn’t a chemical but I’m no expert and not sure. Sorry if that’s not what you want to hear. I pass on my sympathies as someone who also wants to see a bfp and has only had that one 6 months ago that didn’t stick and nothing since :(

Hi! When I had my chemical, I bled before my period was due (quite light but significant enough). I tested when my period was due and I got a positive on a digital. Within 2 days, I was getting BFN on tests (I also had my HCG checked at early preg unit which confirmed the chemical).
I got pregnant with my second with my next cycle. I hope you get the BFP soon. Fingers crossed for you x

I’m not sure if it was a chemical or not as you say, you will never know for sure. However I remember having a period as you described the month before I got pregnant with my first. It was like a big clear out or something- it was so heavy and painful and long. So 🤞🏻 this is the same for you

I dont think it was a chemical pregnancy. Im sorry if thats not what you wanted to read and im sorry you have not had a bfp. Have you had further tests or anything done? Even just some bloods and a scan.

Thanks so much for all the replies everyone. I really wish I had kept testing and done more than the 1 but it wouldn’t have changed the outcome I suppose.

I actually start IVF tomorrow so it could have been stress from that that made my period weird and early I guess.

All fertility tests have come back normal or satisfactory for me and my partner so it’s unexplained infertility.
