Chemical pregnancy? Or implantation?

Hi all.

looking for experiences and advice. I’m CD 50, I don’t ovulate regularly if at all some months so not sure how many DPO I am, I know that’s not helpful. Since yesterday I have begun having some faint positives. They seem to be getting darker, if I was to guess I would say i would be about 9/10 dpo based on last experience of fertile-ish CM. We DTD the day before I had that CM so would sort of make sense. Since yesterday I started spotting brown slightly, today I’m having more of it and it’s more pink and was very little but actually a bit red when I went to the toilet, it’s only occurring really when I’m going to the toilet or wiping but I’m having some crampy discomfort with it. Obviously there is nothing I can do if it is a chemical pregnancy, but I think my lines are getting darker. On my last pregnancy I just had cramps, no implantation bleeding. Has anyone experienced similar? Did it turn out to be implantation bleeding or a CP?

honest experiences welcome! Realistically I know the tests are very faint and due to the red blood and cramps it is likely a chemical pregnancy. First two tests were taken last night, last three have been throughout today.

thank you in advance everyone

There’s dye bleed on a few, that can track into the test indent, but there really isn’t anything there I’d read as positive.

Are you dipping the tests in a collected sample or peeing on them?

Hi yes I agree on the last one being a dye bleed. To be honest the quality is really poor now uploaded it all blends into each other as the lines are so faint but in person they were much clearer and today I were pink in colour.

im dipping it :)

to be honest I have awful crampy back ache, so believe my period is on its way. These must just be indents

the test below was from today- don’t ask why I did a supermarket cheapie- it was obviously going to be negative 🤣 wonder if this is clearer?

Frustrating- it’s still not as clear as the original. I suppose all I can do is see what happens and test again tomorrow or day after if I don’t get my period. Feels like the start of it though

Hi! Thank you so much for commenting. I ended up having a chemical pregnancy in the end. This was the darkest test I got on Saturday and I started bleeding properly the day before that. Was a bit worrying as I was unsure why my HCG was risen when I was bleeding- I thought I was having an ectopic! My tests are now pretty much negative and everything seems to be going back to normal so just waiting it out now xx

Thank you @EmPeEf♥️ I remember you from the June TWW thread! Hope you are doing ok? Last few weeks I have felt crazy staring at these faint positive tests and feeling so weird! So in some ways I’m glad that I wasn’t going crazy and there was a reason! Just sad obviously it didn’t work out, although I haven’t been very well so I think my body knew it wasn’t the right time, but trying to look at the positives that conception happened considering my cycles are usually so messed up and tricky to navigate ♥️

It’s definitely reassuring to know your body works for sure. Especially with a super long cycle like you’re dealing with. The not knowing is difficult.
Even though the first time for us ended in a chemical, my partner was relieved to know his swimmers could at least make it and do their job.

Feeling very positive for this cycle though, thank you. He’s off to China for a week on Sunday but I think I’ll OV in the next few days 🤞🏻 just got to hope my old eggs are good!

Sorry to hear how this ended.

Fingers crossed for your next cycle 🙏

Yes definitely there is a sense of relief that it can happen! Although a chemical is so tricky to deal with and so fast paced- one minute you’re pregnant and the next you’re suddenly not anymore, just very overwhelming. Sorry to hear you had a chemical too. ♥️

oh that’s great to hear! Fingers crossed for you both 🤞hopefully you will have some lovely news when he gets back xx
