Hi everyone.

I'm not really sure about the like of this post but me and my husband have agreed we will try for 1 more baby but where I live we have to book in an app to have the contraceptive implant removed and I've been told I have to wait 3 weeks!! Which is so frustrating as I've wanted to try again for so long...ice had my implant in for 3 years and 6 months so kind of hoping as I'm over due that my implant may have stopped working. Has this happend to anyone else? Is there any other way I could get pregnant with the implant in?

Thanks 😊

3 weeks is nothing!

But no, if it’s still working then that’s that.

Why can't you wait 3 weeks?

Hotdayinjuly · 29/06/2025 16:28

The whole point is that it’s stops you from getting pregnant?

you sound very excited but try and calm down as it may take a little while after the implant is out to be fertile again.

Just anecdotal but I had my implant out in May both times and was pregnant by July both times. That’s why my kids birthdays are 3 years and 360 days apart. We never expected it to happen so soon after removal, especially twice.

Three weeks! 🤣

Shouldn't think so. I get it's frustrating but it'll come out soon, 3 weeks is actually pretty average for a waiting time for implant removal
