Should I retest or are faint positives enough?

Now 1 week late for period - tested faint positive on multiple tests and 3 different brands 31st and 7th June in keeping with pregnancy signs and symptoms. Period was due 7th June. I was not too hopeful as felt as I was going to ‘come on’ all last week and expected blood on wiping but nil.

They were all faint as my LMP was 10/11th May.

I have metallic taste in mouth, light-headedness, nausea and bloating.

Do I really need to confirm with a digital or further test or am I better just waiting to see what happens?

Of note I find taking pregnancy tests exceptionally triggering following a SA when I was younger. I would prefer to never take one again in all
honesty. They are also incredibly expensive for the digitals which I am reading have lots of false negatives and positives anyway. I have also had friends have significant anxiety from the test lightness / darkness / how many weeks on digital - which was unnecessary as they either had their baby or miscarried anyway.

Thanks in advance

How many days past ovulation where you when you tested? No you absolutely dont have to take any more hpt if you dont feel comfortable. If your 1 week late for your period you can instead do a blood test to confirm. Sounds like all positive symptoms. If you also dont feel comfortable with doing a beta blood then you can wait until your think you are around 8 to 9 weeks gestation and by then they can confirm pregnancy with external ultrasound. Im so sorry for what you have been through and I hope you can find ways around your triggers during this time.

Thank you for your reply - I would have been around 10 DPO when they started to be positive.

They are all very faint, I called the clearblue phoneline and the lady told me even the thin faint line is a positive if read in the time frame.

I would prefer to not do another test - it makes me upset even thinking about it, I have booked a scan for the end of June.

The frer i can see something on that, id assume if all was going well, the line would progress. I cant comment on the clearblue tests as I find them unreliable in the very early days. They are really only good after you have missed a period in my opinion. Yes you dont have to do anything at all your not comfortable with. Technically you have gotten an early positive so you can absolutely wait for scan.
