TTC June - anyone else?

Hi, I'm aware that there is another very active ttc chat but as it's so busy it's really hard to jump on and keep up and read back through everyone's advice and tips etc.

If there is anyone ttc at the minute and wants to share what they are doing or just keep each other going during the tww please comment! I'm currently trying for baby number 2 - I had a chemical in May last year but nothing since so it's been over a year now however my cycles have just regulated in Feb after being all over the place after the loss. This cycle will be cycle 10 for me fingers crossed this is the lucky one 🤞

Hi! I was also on the other thread but can't keep up!
I am also trying for #2 - DS is 20 months, how old is your first?
Fingers crossed for cycle 10 for you! I am going into second cycle, I think I'm on about CD10 but I have quite long cycles, between 30 and 40 days so each cycle I'm not entirely sure when I'll ovulate which makes things a bit frustrating.
Also sorry about your chemical - I had one right before DS

Northernsoul90 · 09/06/2025 17:03

Hello! I'm on CD5 today... ovulation for me is usually around day 19/20 but was day 17 last time.

DD is 3, she will be 4 in Sep. Ahh it's so frustrating isn't it when cycles are longer/irregular. Before Christmas my cycle went mental, it was all over the place and then I had a 74 day cycle. Things have evened out since then though, fingers crossed it stays that way. Did it take you long to conceive your first?

Thank you, chemicals are so cruel aren't they you just get excited and then it's taken away. I had a missed miscarriage before DD at 9 weeks too so now I feel like instead of excitement around conceiving it's more worry xx

Hi, hope you dont mind me joining, currently on my first AF since my missed miscarriage back in March (taken 2 surgeries - thanks rpoc) to finally get to this point currently on cycle day 3.

@Northernsoul90 Sorry to hear of your loss. We are also ttc baby #2 my little one just turned 4 in April. I'm currently planning to track to get to know where my cycles are at now and just eat healthily along with supplements. I was 9 weeks also with my missed miscarriage, the anxiety around ttc again is hard.

@Lgn90 I used to have quite long cycles also usually around 30 to 32 days (not sure about now). I used to ovulate around day 16/17 each month I found that testing my lh level twice a day from CD 11 up to my peak helped me narrow it down to when I'd likely ovulate, but it is very frustrating!

Lgn90 · 09/06/2025 19:54

@Northernsoul90 I was quite lucky with my first and conceived on third cycle! (But still felt a long time as I think the first cycle of that was 54 days! But conscious age isn’t on my side this time as I’m 35 this year
Hi @Jemmy94 thank you re LH tests, I actually get really good EWCM so I actually always know when it’s approaching luckily! (I think this is from taking inositol which I started taking for cycle length and this is a good side effect - I think it’s this as I didn’t start taking it when I got my cycle back after BF and had way less of it).
So sorry about your missed miscarriage and surgeries too.

Northernsoul90 · 09/06/2025 20:16

Hi @Jemmy94 so sorry about your mmc it's so hard isn't it. I'm glad your cycle has returned and you're ready to try again 💖.

Prior to having DD my cycles were always regular, albeit a bit longer than average 32ish days but would be pretty much like clockwork. This time round we started trying last May, fell pregnant first cycle which was the chemical and then my cycles just went so irregular.

I had bloods done to check for PCOS which came back as normal according to GP and also a scan which all looked normal too. I went private and the consultant said that although my bloods looked 'normal' they were only just within the boundaries of what they would consider to be normal and actually they looked typical of PCOS so he said he felt that I do have PCOS. I lost nearly 2 stones and my cycle seems to have regulated 🤞 although I do want to shift another 1.5 stone.

My concern now is my luteal phase seems to only be lasting 10 days (11 days most recent cycle). I'm taking quite a lot of supplements atm and considering buying a Lily cup. Also do OPKS.

@Lgn90 Fingers crossed for you this time then! I'm 33, will be 34 in Nov so I'm not sure if age is a factor for me too... I was 29 when I conceived DD

Lgn90 · 09/06/2025 20:33

I’ve actually had all the tests for PCOS too but weirdly my bloods were all fine (and actually testosterone is on the very low end of normal) and had an internal scan too and she said my ovaries didn’t look polycystic - so it’s really a bit of a mystery why my cycles are longer and I feel like no one will be interested now I have managed to conceive!

Are you taking inositol @Northernsoul90 ? Might really help!

Bunnymummy1515 · 09/06/2025 20:57

Hi looking for some clarity we’re not TTC actively but I don’t take any contraception. I’m currently 4 days late and think my clear blue from day 4 has an evap line but not sure because my clear blue from day 3 has nothing. I was hopefully the second test had a positive line but think that’s gone so im really confused. Appreciate any help!

@Lgn90 I am taking inositol atm yes thank you! What supplements are you taking? Any good recommendations? I'm taking Zita West inositol and folate, Zita West Vitafem and Zita West DHA, a separate CoQ10 and calc Fluor. Basically throwing everything at it now 😂🙈.

Im going to try POM juice too this cycle as it's supposed to help thicken your lining (could be a load of rubbish though)

@Bunnymummy1515 Hi, do you have any idea when you ovulated at all? I can see a faint line on one of the clear blues and on the strip test? Are they from today?

@Bunnymummy1515 Hi, do you have any idea when you ovulated at all? I can see a faint line on one of the clear blues and on the strip test? Are they from today?

According to flow my ovulation was around may 22nd. I’m now 4 days late on my period but have a lot of other tests showing negative so really confused if it’s just an evap line or not. The empty clear blue was yesterday AM (3 days late) the maybe line clear blue today AM ( 4 days late) and the strip test today PM

Northernsoul90 · 09/06/2025 21:44

So if you did ovulate then you would be around 18 days past ovulation... if that is the case and you ovulated around that date I would be leaning towards thinking it's possibly a chemical pregnancy so sorry to say. I can definitely see hints of lines on those tests and you are late for your period but you would expect darker and more consistent lines at that point.

Obviously ovulation may have happened later though than what the app is predicting (they aren't always the most accurate) it could just be a bit too early to tell still. Maybe do another test in the morning and see what that one is like? Have you got any more strip tests x

OP posts:
Bunnymummy1515 · 09/06/2025 21:58

Thank you for your advice, I feel so new to this all! I have back log of strip tests so will keep going. I’ve never ovulation tested so not too sure on the accuracy of the Flo app tbh. Means a lot for you to look them over for me x

Northernsoul90 · 09/06/2025 22:09

No problem at all, I have everything crossed that it's not a chemical and you get some line progression 🤞 it takes around 48 hours for HCG to double so by Weds the line should be stronger xx

I hope everything works out on your end the way you want it to✨✨

AllyDevon · 12/06/2025 21:52

Hi! Would love to join. Month 6 of TTC number 2. First was conceived in month 2 so of course I’m second guessing everything….. just trying to maintain a sense of proportion.

this month I have felt on off sickness, lightning crotch and sorerer boobs, two tests in (AF due Saturday) both of which couldn’t be more negative 😅 I’m aware that these are normal pre period symptoms and just being delusional!! I guess we all just become hyper aware in a way we wouldn’t even notice them normally.

the last two months I haven't been able to pinpoint ovulation, tests aren’t matching with when my app expects it. Normally I get egg white CM but nothing these last two month. Have been exceptionally stressed so hoping that now that’s eased off things will go back to normal as now I’m worrying about that!

such a journey for us. Wishing everyone well ✨

Northernsoul90 · 13/06/2025 09:47

@AllyDevon Hi! Fingers crossed for you this cycle 🤞 it's so hard waiting isn't it, I'm the worst for symptom spotting. I was utterly convinced I was pregnant last cycle but was bfn for me. I'm really trying to not get consumed by it but it's so difficult not to.

CD9 for me today, I ovulated CD16 last cycle. DH is working away next week so probably unlikely to time correctly this month but you never know depending when positive OPK happens. I've added a magnesium supplement in to what I'm already taking so feel like I'm rattling at this point 😂. How did you get on @Bunnymummy1515 did you retest?

OP posts:
Bunnymummy1515 · 13/06/2025 09:49

It was still negative by Wednesday then on Thursday my period came. It was 7 days late so I had gotten quiet hopeful. Trying to stay positive

overwork · 13/06/2025 10:44

Ooh I think I should join. This could be our first month trying for number 2, but as I’m 40, I’m going to try not to get consumed by it as what will be will be. I say could as our circumstances are all over the place and we don’t seem to get many chances to have sex at the right time. Our first was a complete accident at 38 so I’ve never had to think about trying before. I love watching these threads as there’s usually a few people with positive news at the end of it!

TheNavyFatball · 13/06/2025 17:05

Hi All,
I’ve been actively TTC since Jan and have had two chemical pregnancies. I was diagnosed as having a moderately large fibroid only yesterday after a private internal ultrasound and I’m still waiting to discuss what this really means with the consultant.
I was expecting to ovulate on Saturday but the ultrasound showed I have already ovulated this month, so there’s a chance I could conceive this month but I have no idea when I ovulated so therefore have no idea when to test or when my period is now due.
So fingers crossed, wishing you all luck and I’ll probably test next Wednesday to check as if it’s a third chemical I’d like to pick it up so I can maybe get somewhere with my NHS GP.
Everything crossed for you ladies 😊

EmPeEf · 13/06/2025 19:59

Like some of you ladies I have longer cycles. Normally 33-35 days and OV around day 20. April was 28 days though so I have a huge window I’m monitoring 😅

LH strips are starting to rise and I’m CD15, so expecting another long one. I’m also doing BBT to see if I can pinpoint when it happens, although my messed up sleep cycle means I test at 3pm just before the school run 🤣

I’m sorry to hear that. I had a chemical last month and it was really difficult x

Bunnymummy1515 · 13/06/2025 21:50

Thank you for this, I’m sorry you had to go through that. Sending you all the magic dust✨ x

Northernsoul90 · 13/06/2025 22:54

@Bunnymummy1515 So sorry to hear that 😞 I had a chemical last year and I found it hard. Look after yourself 💐

@TheNavyFatball @EmPeEf fingers crossed for you both ✨🤞.

@EmPeEf I should start tracking BBT again, I'll find my thermometer tomorrow - won't be the most accurate for tracking this time as I'm already on CD9 but might get me into the habit of doing it. I was ovulating day 19/20 but it was day 16 for me last time so I think I'm going to start OPKs on CD12 maybe this time.

Hi, we’re going to start trying for number three, I’ve just got my period today so should just about be in June. Fell the first month with DC1 and the fifth with DC2 but I’m 36 now so not sure if it will take longer. Is anyone swaying? I know it’s illogical but I have two of the same sex so would love to have the other but of course will be delighted either way!

Yeah, I started mine a few days ago just in case it was going to be a short one for me. I’m not even sure if I’ll ovulate right after a chemical? I only had two days of light bleeding with no cramps so wouldn’t even count it as a period.
