Stories of positive tests coming after negative?

Hi guys,

I have been convinced that I’ve fallen pregnant this month. Lots of strange aches and pains, including that weird lower back opening feeling that I had with my DD. Obvious it’s too early for any of that to happen, but it’s just a weird feeling that I’ve never had when not been pregnant. Also been super emotional, cried my eyes out all day yesterday.

AF is due tomorrow, I did a test with the first morning wee today (which happened to be at 4 am thanks to my toddler), and it’s negative. It was a clear blue rapid response test.I was so sure! I’m clinging onto the hope that if I do another test tomorrow or the day after it might be a positive, though it’s now so close to my period that I wonder if that’s unlikely. Hoping to hear some stories of people who had a negative test a positive one.

TIA!!

The day your period is due isn't too relevant. What matters is what dpo you are. Do you know track BBT/OPKs?
You implant between 6-12dpo (12 is rare) and it takes a couple of days to get a positive test after that. So if you implanted 10dpo you likely won't get a BFP until 12dpo even on a very sensitive test with FMU.
You say your period is due tomorrow, but how long is your luteal phase? If it's 12 days that means you are 12dpo now and you would probably see a BFP if pregnant. But if it's 15 days that means you are 15dpo and if you don't have a BFP by now you are almost certainly not pregnant.

Thank you for this.

cycle is 28 days usually. I for a solid smiley on day 13/14 so assuming ovulation was day 14. So currently 13 days in to my luteal phase. So that makes it unlikely?

So you are 13dpo and you used a Clear Blue rapid detection with FMU? I looked that up for you and it says that at 13dpo (two days before expected period in the standard cycle with a 14 day luteal phase) this test picks up 97% of pregnancies.
So it is very unlikely you are pregnant, but someone does have to be in the 3%! Hope it turns out to be you.
