Faint line at 12dpo?

Getting myself all worried. I had a ‘1-2 weeks pregnant’ on a clear blue digital two days ago (10dpo) and vvvvv faint lines. Now at 12dpo they look like this (both tests in photo are this morning’s at 12dpo), with first morning urine, and they’re not much progression from yesterday at 11dpo at all. Does this look bad for this pregnancy? Freaking out. I hope I’m just being dramatic 😂
I found out nearly the exact same time with my previous (successful) pregnancy, but I don’t remember what the lines were like.
reassurance or negative stories, all experience welcome. I have to know 🥺

Do you have any other brands you could try? When’s your period due

Boopbeep96 · 29/05/2025 09:56

@Kels21 These are 10miu sensitivity tests too… I can go get another brand, would you recommend any in particular?
AF due Saturday or Sunday

The clear and simple tests sticks (not strips) in Asda are good. And the easy at home ones from Amazon or first response from Amazon are the best. Have you done anymore tests? X

Boopbeep96 · 29/05/2025 14:17

Yeah I did, but it was after a coffee in the afternoon, and was slightly less bold than the one from this morning (supposed that’s to be expected with the pee being more diluted? I hope? 😅)

I’ll go grab one or two more later and see…

My tests are always lighter on that blue strip. Not sure why. I’d recommend using the pink 10miu from Amazon easy@home. :) it’s looking fine honey

Boopbeep96 · 29/05/2025 17:09

@Plumchumm thank you!! Updated pic of all the tests I’ve done so far… I think they’re definitely getting there. Please stick little bean 🥺

Just wanted to update this for anyone coming across it and freaking out like I did. These tests are the one step internet cheapies and the lines were not progressing. I had convinced myself I was having a chemical! But on the reviews of these tests on Amazon, there are a lot of people saying that they were giving very faint lines and were bad for showing progression. (They’re supposed to detect 10miu/ml!! But I think the dye must just be very cheap or something).
Anyway, in my panic I went out and got lots of different ones: clear blue, clear & simple both the strips and the sticks, and Asda’s own brand. Attached a picture. These are all from first morning urine at 13dpo. The one step internet cheapies were still the same boldness as they were in pics above, but these tests are nice and clear (even though they were not extra early ones except for the clear blue one which was 10miu/ml - all the others were either 20 or 25). I will come back and update in a few weeks if I remember!

Just updating again for anyone coming across this!
I had a miniscule bit of very light pink mucus, what I’m assuming is implantation bleeding or just early pregnancy spotting last night. It looked exactly the same as when I was pregnant with my son except this time there was way less, and it was a few days after I’d had it with him. Stronger tests this morning (15dpo) even on the one step cheapie ones. Still, if you’re getting slow progression, try what I was told on this thread and get another kind of test!!

Yeah, those blue one step tests are chronically pale. I’ve switched from using them. Congratulations everything has progressed well 😊

Hi sorry to jump on your thread I’m currently due on on 3 days and my tests look exactly like yours and clear blue says 1/2 weeks pregnant… but the blue cheapie ones are so so faint I don’t know what to believe

Boopbeep96 · 27/12/2025 18:30

Bumblebee, that’s pretty much exactly what happened to me! And it all worked out. Recommend testing with other brands. All the best, and a tentative congratulations!!

Aww thank you .. so it’s all positive.. but can I please ask did u get Lower abdo pain I am around 4 weeks pregnant but the lower pain is concerning .. just want to know im not alone 🤣🫶🏼

Boopbeep96 · 27/12/2025 22:11

Not much with this one, but with my first pregnancy, yes. I had a sharp pain once a few hours before I got a positive test + implantation bleeding, and then cramps on and off for a few days afterwards with my first. I think from what I’ve read that it’s to do with the wee embryo burrowing into the lining of the womb. Hopefully that’s what’s happening for you too! I think it’s fairly normal. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
