We’re currently having investigations after almost a year of trying with no hint of a bfp. At DH’s recent appointment, the andrologist told him that we should stop using all lubes. Even fertility-friendly ones like Pre-Seed (which we’ve used since the start of ttc). She said any lubes can slow down sperm and prevent it moving.

Has anyone been told similar? I’m so confused because I thought the point of Pre-Seed was to mimic EWCM and help sperm along. And Mumsnet is full of Pre-Seed success stories. My best friend conceived quickly twice using fertility-friendly lube.

I’m currently in the TWW (cycle 12) and we tried not using lube this time. I’m sure it won’t make a difference so I’m trying not to get my hopes up but interested to see if anyone else has come across this advice!

My son is proof that preseed did not stop me getting pregnant. I don’t know if it helped, as I was on Femara after ovarian drilling for secondary infertility for PCOS. Had spent years trying, PreSeed luck perhaps.
