HELP? Any bbt specialists out there? TTC cycle #3 after chemical

Hi! Anybody familiar with bbt and charts? usually have a shorter cycle...think this month I ovulated 4 days after LH peak? Also already CD28 and still BFN but temp is still up? 😭First month tracking bbt but will add lasts months negative chart and my current one....

Do you carry on doing OPKs after your peak to make sure it went down? If it went down I am pretty sure that you wouldn’t have ovulated 4 days after your peak. You probably just had a slow rise after ovulation which is normal! Looks like you probs ovulated day 16/17 of your cycle and so you are 11/12dpo? How long are your luteal phases normally? I have a 14 day luteal phase and my temp won’t drop until day 14dpo normally. So you may get a later positive if you implanted slightly later or your temp drop will happen in 2-3 days. What test did you use?

@Thisisouryear2025 yes I did continue testing LH it went back down to low levels on CD17 but people are telling me I ovulated later based on my temp rise soo confused I used the premom cheapies...normally mine are about 14 days I'm usually very regular for comparison the other chart is from april was a 26day cycle LH peak on CD13 and AF arrived CD27...
This cycle I'm aldready CD28 and still nothing😫

Apparently in one study only 13% of women experienced a temp rise one day after ovulation; in most women it actually took longer for their body temp to react to the progesterone. Worth bearing in mind that you may expect to see your first temp rise two days after ovulation.

I agree with pp that you have a slow rise pattern, which is fine. I'm finding it difficult to pinpoint a day for you because of the app you're using. Fertility Friend has a far clearer graph. Would you consider sticking this month's temps into Fertility Friend and reposting the chart here? It should be much easier to see what's going on. I understand if you can't be bothered though 😆

Ah that's much easier to see!
So from your temps alone it looks like you ovulated on CD19 (if your body takes 1 day to show a temp rise after ovulation) or potentially CD18 (if your body takes longer).
But when you add in the info from your LH levels it seems ovulation is likely to be earlier. Therefore I reckon CD19 could have been a rogue temperature (perhaps you were sleeping with your mouth open for example) and actually ovulation was a couple of days earlier, around CD17.
Once you've been charting for three months or so you'll get to know how your LH and BBT work together and you can be more confident. For the moment it is certain you've ovulated, and my best guess would be CD17.

Based on the fertility friend chart below & your positive OPK on CD15 is still say you ovulated late day 15 or early 16. I am a slow riser too and it does take a few days to get a proper rise in bbt. I still think you are 12dpo today. So if your LP is normally 14 days you are due AF Monday. So if Sundays bbt goes down then that’s correct. If bbt is still high by Monday defo test again.

I don't think a BFN at 11dpo or thereabouts is definitive, so I'd say you still have a small chance this cycle.
If it helps, I got a BFN on 11dpo this cycle but although I haven't tested since I'm pretty sure I'm pregnant as I'm now 17dpo with a missed period and high temps. Haven't got tests at the moment but will test soon. But anyhow it's definitely possible to get BFN on 11dpo and still be pregnant.

@MauraLabingi I was also convinced but now thinking it might be a chemical because i've had the faintest lines on CB since Wedneday evening and no positive on premom cheapie...😞also the change in cycle length is bizarr and just had that in march when I had the chemical..with my daughter i had a faint but obvious line at 10dpo...

So you have had a faintly positive test? Well that's a bit different isn't it 😆 I guess you won't know either way until you test again in a couple of days. Good luck! 🤞

You are still in with a chance!! You are braver than me I am way too scared to test! I’m going to leave it like @MauraLabingi and just wait until I’ve missed a period because I can’t stand a BFN

@Thisisouryear2025 I don't think I'm brave I'm just scared and anxious because of the loss in March..and testing makes me feel better feel like I'm more in control in a way..just terrified it could happen again if that makes sense

@Ec2808 Yeah totally get that. I had a chemical in August last year and bled at 17dpo sadly. I tried for another two months and got nothing, so stopped trying until Jan, we are now 11dpo if our 5th cycle again and I’m just so anxious for constant negatives. I had my progesterone test back Tuesday, it was done late 7dpo, nearly 8dpo and it was 52.7 nmol which is higher than range, I’m trying not to read into it being because of pregnancy as I don’t want to get my hopes up. Since then I’ve had the odd period cramp but nothing major and other than a huge sore spot that’s appeared on the side of my face which is unheard of for me, I have no symptoms at all. Temps high still but not out the ordinary for me at 11dpo & heart rate last night was unusually high. But trying not to read into it all as it could all be nothing and totally explained by everything but pregnancy! If my bbt drops Sunday or Monday then I’m out for sure. We had my OH sperm results back yesterday and he’s got good sperm and he has quite a decently high progressive motility so they swim fast! I don’t know why it’s taking so long. Maybe because I’m obsessed about it??

@Thisisouryear2025 it breaks my heart that these things happen.. totally understand how you're feeling I haven't been trying for that long this is month 3 but it feels like forever and when you really want something soo badly it still hurts every month when AF shows her face 😔no clue about progesterone levels sorry 😕I've had a really hightened sense of smell since yesterday which is the one symptom that is convincing me i am pregnant...yesterday had a really weird aftertaste in mouth all afternoon after lunch aswell..hubby also has good sperm we got pregnant on cycle number 2 with daughter who is 1..Sending you lots of babydust and hugs!!! xx❤

@Ec2808 I know it’s so sad isn’t it!! No rhyme or reason!! Just not fair. You are right it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been trying if you want something that badly it hurts no matter what when it’s negative! That’s a good sign I guess, I try not to read into stuff now as I’ve had so many symptoms and not been pregnant I don’t believe anything. That’s good and really quick! We conceived cycle one in August. That’s why I’m like why isn’t it happening already this time round. Just so annoying!! Sending you baby dust and hugs too, keep going we will get there xx 🩷🩵

@Thisisouryear2025 we actually implanted on TTC cycle 1 this time too but that was the cycle that ended in early miscarriage sadly it's soo frustrating...😔totally get how your feeling I'm starting to think I don't know my body and every thing is just down to progesterone...❤

@Ec2808 That is so annoying!! It’s cruel isn’t it. I am not an early tester as I can’t bare a negative. I may well have had a chemical this year without knowing. I’m really hoping I’m pregnant this month, it would have been conceived on our second anniversary too so would be so nice. But I am scarred for BFNs lol I am struggling to believe!!
