Hi all, I have just had my progesterone blood results back at 52.7 nmol and that seems quite high? I am so anxious there is something wrong with me. Does anyone know why it is high and not below 46 nmol it should be at 7dpo? I’m freaking out please help

I don’t know the answer, but I do know that cycles can vary in length and symptoms, especially as we get a little older. So it could be that this cycle is just a bit different and I don’t think that’s anything to worry about.

From what I have read myself, high progesterone is associated with pregnancy.

Don’t freak out, it will be alright. Book an appt with your doctor so they can explain it ❤️

@Vplop thank you. I am just confused both my previous tests two years ago on 7dpo were 32 and 36, so I have no idea now why at 7dpo it’s 52.7. I don’t think il believe it’s pregnancy related tbh don’t know why I just feel like it’s never going to happen. GP wants to see me after my day 4 bloods which will be done on the 22nd May and she said she wasn’t concerned but they are “borderline” I’m now worried as it’s out of the 13-46 range I have a problem that will prevent pregnancy x

Ahh I see. If you do have a problem that will prevent pregnancy, then you can get it fixed. There’s sooo much they can do these days. I know the feeling of ‘it’s never going to happen’ and it can be overwhelming. I’m in my forties trying to conceive my first! All I can do is try my best. The rest is out of my control.

Have you tried some meditation to help manage the anxiety? I have an anxiety disorder and I find that meditation and breathing exercises really help. If you type ‘progressive muscle relaxation’ into YouTube you will find relief. Take care of yourself and your mental health during this time ❤️

Thanks so much @Vplop !! I hope and pray I don’t have an issue. Most things I’ve read online say that it’s a good level to sustain a pregnancy but my doctor said it was borderline as her range is 13-46. She wasn’t worried so I guess I shouldn’t be but I just can’t help it. I think I’m going to focus on my holiday coming up and give TTC a break for now until I get back. It’s just too much. Appreciate your words and advice I shall look into that x
