I’m very very crampy which is normal for a week off my period so not feeling positive but what will be will be!

Just looking for some advice ladies. Let’s talk Sick notes in work. As you’re all aware, from the very start of this pregnancy I’ve suffered very badly with HG, despite being prescribed tablets for this, some days are worse than others. I have been offered a sick note, but have no idea what my rights are? Would this go against my sick days, would it put risk to my job? And what would it mean for my pay? Yesterday I was completely bed bound, the nausea is every waking moment and currently, I dread the thought of working. Xx

Hey @ttcjourney20001 I don’t work in HR but have a bit of experience and a lot of this depends on your workplace, aside from your worry about losing your job as if they did this you could get a pretty penny at a tribunal!
Depending on your company policy you could get full pay or statutory pay for the time you’re off. I also believe that any pregnancy related sickness cannot be counted against any alllocated sick days. I hope that helps, ACAS is a good place for free advice if you’re worried.

@HellsBellsTrudythis is really good advice for @ttcjourney20001I am a union rep and have had HG twice (if this one sticks I expect it in about 2 weeks)
I am 9dpo and tentatively excited 😬

Just got off the phone with my manager, she said I’m entitled to SSP, not full pay, and as a homeowner I just can’t afford that kind of pay. I’m guessing I just have to brave the storm. Hopefully the sickness will subside with time, if baby sticks around.
after 2 losses, I am so grateful to be feeling the symptoms, but goodness me they’ve knocked me out of the park. Thank you for your advice xxx

I’ve been getting nipping the last day but on both sides 😂 what does that mean?!

I’ve had sharp sensations on my left side all day today, not severe, just once in a while like somethings niggling at my side, not trying to get too concerned. Think it may be due to the fact I’ve not been to the toilet to poo properly for 2 days, it’s not intense sharp pain, more like a stabbing sensation that doesn’t last longer than 15 minutes at a time🙈

When I change position or stand up, the pain goes away but it does come back but never severe cramping and only one side. Never had it before, so it’s making me question whether baby is still sticking. Feels like forever waiting for that first scan. 1 month to go 💀

@HellsBellsTrudy haha, I am Irish indeed! I'm not too sure what the nipping is. Especially if it's on both sides. Hopefully it's something good anyway.

@ttcjourney20001 it could be constipation. It could be round ligament pain as well. Just stretching and growing!

Update: tested again this morning and defo a stronger line. I will keep testing until I get a line stealer for peace of mind. Here is the progression. Photos in order. Last one taken by my DD(3) 😂 I am 10dpo.

Friends I need your help, is this positive?! 8DPO today and taken with FMU this morning. First pics taken at 3 mins and the other when fully dry 😭

Does anyone have any idea why it might getting darker today, the bottom is this morning, the top three are the lasts 3 days. I've already had my peak I'm 5dpo now. X

@HellsBellsTrudyit looks positive to me! But I don’t trust this brand in isolation. I got some free with LH tests so have been using but have used FRER to test with mainly. To be sure, I would buy another brand of test and do both with FMU tomorrow.

Thanks @Bas27 I was in two minds whether to get some others and you’ve persuaded me! I’ll get another brand to tomorrow morning, can’t get FRER unless of Amazon so might give a clear blue a go even though I think they can be awful too!

@HellsBellsTrudyboots own brand are similar FRER with pink line if you can get one of those

Hi everyone, had some pretty intense cramping on my left side last night, woke up and it was gone but due to having lost two pregnancies at the age of 22 and 23, I obviously had alarm bells ringing. Called EPU and they’ve offered me an early scan tomorrow morning. I’m absolutely bricking it. My sickness is still there and headache, and my cramps are gone so I guess it’s just the reassurance I need after two losses. I’m a bit anxious about having an internal scan, but have to conquer that fear

I’ve started brown spotting with some mild cramps today and feel like I could eat anything and everything so imagine I’m out this month. Only 9dpo so looking like another short luteal phase

I feel like I can see a faint line on this? I’m unsure if it’s an indent though as these tests are terrible for it! I think i’d be around 7dpo so should definitely wait a few days lol - idk why my pics always upload such bad quality sorry
