In the dreaded 2 week wait

Hello lovely ladies, wishing you all luck on your journey. Anybody else currently in the 2 week wait? It has to be the longest wait doesn't it? I am only 2 DPO and already want to test 😭. I know I will shortly start imagining symptoms now too 🙈

I’m also BBT tracking on Premom but my sleep pattern is all over the place at the moment 💀 so it’s pretty useless.

@mummm2 I think my husband is the one relieved. It's a lot for him. As much he's happy when the window is approaching, he's on his knees by then end of it! 😂

@WishUponAStar4 me too! Those who get pregnant after a heavy drinking night while we have been T-total for months (not that I terribly miss it). My brother who had unexpected twins because of ONE faulty condom and within the reflection window you have to wait when you want the snip!
Those who don't symptoms track and realise they are pregnant at 6 weeks!

To be honest we are using serynges provided by the fertility clinic it removes pressure to have ("succesfull") full sex every 3 days.

It is similar to calpolnserynges with a long tube attachment so you can inject right at the door. Ding dong! 😂

A calpol syringe wow yes you do hear about these stories- people with only one tube ovulating from the other side etc! I say just keep it stress free because your body work better relaxed.

So how does that work then does your husband /partner do his business into a cup ?

@Mouche85 that’s true! We had a break from DTD last night, but think I may be entering fertile window now so hopefully back
on it later.. we’ll see what OPKs are saying today..

haha ‘ding dong’ love that! Yeah I can imagine a lot of pressure is taken away for sure. So do you only use the syringe every 3 days? And any DTD in between? Sorry I’m not clued up on this at all!

Also oddly enough with my previous pregnancies I didn’t find out til I was 3 weeks and 6-7 weeks.. no tracking and it happened!

We have full on sex on the first day of the window (cycle day 10), days 13, 16, 19 go into a cup (sampling cup provided by the clinic as well).

Sometimes we start together and he finishes by himself. He's never had a high sex drive so it's the solution that we found before going for IVF.

@Mouche85 that’s really interesting to know. So do you track which CD you actually peak / ovulate or just stick to the same pattern of CD.

We try to DTD every day / every other.. annoyingly we didn’t DTD last night and I got high OPK this morning 0.89 so hopefully later we will as expecting peak some point today. otherwise I feel this month is wasted 😞

Yeah I think every second night is the best. Feels less like a chore and more enjoyable. Plus sperm can like for up to 4/5 days too .

So I definitely peaked today SMU was 1.27. I feel so pressured now to DTD tonight hope DH is up for it 🤣 otherwise let’s hope his sperm survives lol

On the positive side though I’m glad I’ve peaked early, as the thought of another 35 day cycle was torture

Ohh that's great. You have tomorrow too doesnt ovulation usually happen within 24 to 48 hours after peak . Your cd 12 is it?

Actually ladies what time do ye test at? I know they say second urine ( 10am ish) is usually best but I have usually a lot of water drank by then so iv been testing around 8.30am

@WishUponAStar4 yeah may catch it tomorrow evening too but my peak was so early today.

Yeah I have heard FMU isn’t always the best for OPKs … my 2MU was much higher. I struggle to test PM as I drink too much.

I usually test FMU which is usually 6am before my cuppa 😂

I'm not sure if i will ovulate this cycle. LH is all over the place. I posted the pics in another post to see if anyone has had experience with the same .

CD 13 today for me, peaked yesterday about lunch time & DTD this morning - hope to have caught it! 🙏

Well indeed! It is my first time using digital tests and so first time I got a smiley which was very exciting, I was surprised it was so early on CD12 - have you tried the digital tests? x

Yeah I have used them twice. I wasn't a fan to be honest. I got flashing smileys for a week or more before peak and eas driving me crazy

So..? Did you get lucky yesterday?

Ughh how annoying! I was low at CD12 last cycle too, didn’t peak until morning of CD20! Hopefully yours is earlier than that 🤦🏻‍♀️

i tried the digital one cycle and they were all wasted on flashing smileys! So bloody annoying, won’t use again as I think there so expensive when can just use the cheap strips!

do you use strips too? Or just digital?
