LH HUGE SPIKE 7DPO CONFUSED

Hi,
my first thread on here. I’ve been TTC for 3 cycles. I’ve been tracking my LH using the easy@home test strips. I got my peak on CD12 which was 0.94 which went back down until CD18 then it went back up to 0.94 that morning, then by CD18 evening it was 1.22, I tested again this afternoon and it was 2.18, then 4 hours later it’s gone up to 2.61.
Ive never had an LH test so high, the line is already solid dark as soon as the test starts running.
i have never been so confused!! Help please!!

That’s so confusing! The only time I’ve ever had dark ovulation strips like that is when I was pregnant. I didn’t realise id already ovulated and started getting super dark LH tests and was pregnant. But otherwise I’m guessing you didn’t actually ovulate when you had the last peak test and are ovulating now

I figured out how to delete the tests I’ve scanned more than once so this looks less confusing!!

When you had dark ovulation tests when you was pregnant did you already know you was pregnant at that point? I’ve done a HCG test but it’s negative although if ovulation was at the first peak I’d only be 7dpo xx

I’ve had very dark ovulation tests when my period was due in the past and not been pregnant.

I’m not due for 8 days and didn’t have this last cycle at all, last cycle they were very low at 0.38 from 2dpo down to 0.21 the day before I was due on xx

The first time I was pregnant I tested LH and hcg together from 9dpo and saw it darken everyday. The second time I didn’t realise I was pregnant, I think I got a 1.8 something score on premom for the LH test, did a clearblue digital and was 2-3 weeks! I never get a rise on LH before my period so it’s only ever happened when pregnant for me

Hi the LH stayed high for 4 days but has now started to make its way down but my BBT has shot up this morning, highest it’s been my whole cycle at 5dpo, I have no idea if this is good but I’m hoping it is😂xx

Sometimes LH can be high about a week before a period due to an estrogen surge which supports implantation (I believe). It doesnt mean implantation will occur but it supports if it does, then the progesterone continues to surge, causing a high temperature. Often this peaks at around 10 dpo and then either slowly or speedily drops if not pregnant because of the falling levels of progesterone. So your 5 doo temp is a good thing because it hopefully shows that your progesterone level is rising, which it should at this point in your cycle.

If your temperature does not drop to its baseline the point where your period is due or rises then you have yourself a potential pregnancy because there is an indication that the progesterone level is still high.
