Due my period today and usually wake up to it having started so thought I’d test. 2 lines.

Does this seem dark enough for first day of period? So it’s actually positive?

Yes it's positive. It doesn't matter how dark the line is as long as it's there. It should get darker as you get further along.

Those tests often don't get any darker than that. You're definitely pregnant. Hope it's good news x

It's definitely positive. However, it's faint for the time of month you're testing. The test I did on those tests 5 days before my period was due with my last pregnancy was darker than that. So retest in a couple of days or buy a better test. It could mean a pregnancy that's not developing or it could just be you have ovulated later than expected or even there's something wrong with the test. They can be hit and miss I found.

Not necessarily, @GroovyChick87 . It depends when OPs period is due. If she has an 11 day LP, she is only 12dpo today.
But even if she is actually 15dpo tbh those tests are so varied. I was using them to track decreasing HCG after a 10 week miscarriage and they were never darker than that even though my HCG must have been through the roof.

I must have ovulated later than usual so probably around 13 dpo

Just breathe, go get some blood work if you can to confirm and then think about what's next. One step at a time. Don't take on everything at once.
