Question for those who have had a bfp and also usually spot before period

Hi all,

Just that really. If you usually spot before your period for a few days did you find that you did or didn’t spot when you got your bfp?

I spotted on both pregnancies. On my first I wasn't aware I was pregnant yet so thought it was the usual sign of my period coming, only testing when it trailed off and I started to feel sick.

On this pregnancy I knew to expect it, and sure enough it happened at around the 4 week mark.

It's just nearly impossible to know what's spotting and what's implantation bleeding!

Normally spot before I'm due on, but didn't when I fell pregnant. Did bleed to varying degrees each time throughout first trimesters though

I usually spot from day 9/10 post ovulation, and then bleed properly from day 15. Had no spotting at all the cycle I got pregnant.

I spotted and it then stopped and my period didn’t come so I did a test.

This sounds like my usual pattern too. I’m 11dpo today and still no spotting but neg test so far.. period due tomorrow

Give it a few more days and if your period/spotting doesn’t start, test again. Not all women will get a positive test 11 days post ovulation.

How long did you spot for?

I usually have a tiny amount of spotting (some pink on wiping) between days 10-13DPO before full bleed on 14DPO, but didn’t have any on BFP cycle

I wasn’t pregnant the cycle I made this thread but I DID get pregnant (currently 28 weeks) and I spotted as normal for 2-3 days before my period was due so for me spotting before a BFP did happen :)
