Early Scan tomorrow and bricking it

I've got a scan at EPU tomorrow, at 7+1 since LMP. I personally think I'm more like 6, as am almost sure I didn't ovulate on CD 14 - more like 20/21.

Three days after faint positive line I started bleeding, 2 days of spotting with one day in between of proper bleeding. I had bloods taken and my HCG did keep rising after the bleeding.

I've now got '2-3 weeks' instead of 3+ showing on a clearblue and attached is today's Wondfo - the darkest yet. I'm absolutely terrified as this is a pregnancy following previous loss. Can anyone share what they saw on previous scans at this sort of stage, and anyone whose been in a similar situation. Really need a handhold.

Hey lovely. I'm just here to offer the hand hold and send all of the sticky baby dust your way for tomorrow x

Thank you. This has been booked for nearly two weeks now and it's been the most awful wait. The tests have got darker and darker whilst I've been waiting but that lack of 3+ and the bleeding just has me worried sick.

Good luck OP, at least you are going with realistic expectations and won't be even more anxious if you're dating behind.

If you are only 6 weeks then there is a chance there won't be an embryo and heartbeat yet as that normally appears between 6 and 7 weeks. If you are less than 6 weeks, it could be an empty gestational sac or there could be a yolk sac and fetal pole. It varies woman to woman and even one day can make a difference at that stage.

I have long cycles and ovulated late. I would have been 8+2 going from LMP when I had my first scan but baby only measured 6+1.
I'm now 36 weeks.

I had bleeding in my 4th pregnancy following two consecutive losses.
Big clots, needing a pad fresh dark blood. I didn't have bloods taken but all my tests were positive still but I didn't have much hope in them. I had to wait what felt like a lifetime for a scan, must have been about 7ish week by that point too.
Had already resigned myself to another mc, but there she was, little bean with a heart beat.
She's now about to turn 6 and is full of life.
Continued to bleed for just over a week passing clots still. But funnily enough was my easiest pregnancy and delivery after that!
Finger crossed for you tomorrow, I have faith all will be well!

Hi, I'm very similiar dates to you. Would the clinic move you forward a few days?
I say only as if you are 6 weeks and don't see what you hope for because of the dates, it would be really stressful, like the PP said a few days make all the difference at this stage x

Nervousforscan · 27/02/2025 17:54

They want to do 7 weeks as have had a prior ectopic. If all seems well but just a little less developed than expected for 7+1 (as I suspect) then I can definitely return next Friday for a repeat scan.

It's lovely to hear your success stories, particularly after following a bleed.

I'm mostly afraid of an ectopic as have had this before and am hoping that at this stage even if I am 6 weeks not 7 that should be able to be seen. My lines were not this strong with my ectopic before by a very long way and I have a lot more symptoms this time around too. If I hadn't had the bleed I wouldn't be anywhere near as scared.

I would absolutely love to hear a heartbeat and will cry my eyes out if I do, but it's reassuring to hear that even if I don't it doesn't mean it's all over at this stage.

I don't know how ill sleep tonight! This wait has been so hard but now that it's almost here it feels like it's even harder rather than easier which I had thought it would be.

😒 this is tasteless, I don't personally find 'tracking the status of my embyro' exciting. I am waiting to hear if am experiencing a life threatening ectopic pregnancy where my baby will die?

Thanks for the luck @worldwidetravel2017 and the link @CalvinGibson I can't look at it right now but if it's bad news today I'm sure it's going to be invaluable.

I've been up since 5am cleaning with pure anxiety.

Good luck today. What time is your appointment? I've had 10 mmc and I had bleeding in my last pregnancy went on to have a very healthy ds who's just turned 8 .
Giving you a hand hold for today it's an awful feeling waiting to find out x

Nervousforscan · 28/02/2025 07:46

Two hours to go now. Most of which will be travelling thankfully.

It really could go either way. I'm glad you managed to have a baby after all your loss.

LaTable · 28/02/2025 15:26

How did it go op?

Nervousforscan · 28/02/2025 16:30

It's been rebooked for next week as couldn't see anything. My beta has risen huge amounts but said it is still a little low for a US to pick anything up.

Thank you for all your positive thoughts and prayers.

Oh no, I'm sorry it's another wait for you. That must be ever so hard! But positive news if the numbers have risen that much. Keeping everything crossed xxxx

typicaltuesdaynight · 28/02/2025 16:54

Oh no another wait. It's hopefully positive e the fact the numbers are rising
