No LH rise - CD 22 TTC 1st baby

Hello! I was wondering if anyone had any advice for me please. I am 33 y/o F and I’ve been trying to conceive my first baby since August 2024 with no joy. I have been using easy at home OPKs and I normally get my LH peak around CD day 16, last month my peak was CD 19. My cycle is usually 29/30 days long with a 12 day luteal phase and my period is always very regular. However in November I was unable to detect a peak with my opks despite regular testing and it’s the same this month so far, despite me starting OPK testing on CD 11 twice a day. Today is CD 22 and I’ve still had no peak and low LH readings. The months I get my peak it usually stays high for about a day, so I am pretty sure I haven’t missed it. Could it be anovulation or just late ovulation? I am worried incase something is wrong. Any advice would be so appreciated. Thank you!

At the moment it could be either. It's good you're resting twice a day. It's not unusual to have the odd month where it goes a bit weird but as you've recently had a similar month I'd keep a close eye. Best of luck.

@Springadorable Thanks a lot for coming back to me. In November, I didn’t start testing until CD 14 and stopped at CD 21 - so it’s possible I ovulated early that month and missed it, but finding it harder to pinpoint the reason why this month when I started on CD 11. Time shall tell! Thanks again and hope all is well with you x

I’m having the same this month! I used clear blue with a smiley face last month and never got a smiley. I’m quite far into this cycle and haven’t had a rise in LH on the easy@home ones so perhaps I haven’t been ovulating. Will follow this thread with interest, hope you see 2 dark strips soon OP ☺️

@Alkaline182 it can be so frustrating! Although, on looking back on my Premom app I didn’t start testing twice a day until CD 16 this month, so I think I’ve probably just missed it as I took a test on the morning of CD 13 and didn’t test again until CD 14 night for example! I thought I had been more consistent, but it was only when I went back and checked my app that it was only from CD 16 that I tested twice a day! I’m tempted to give OPK testing a miss next month, I think I’m missing opportunities to DTD because I’m desperately waiting for a peak test, rather than just doing it regardless! Hope you get your peak soon! Xx

Ah yes I did hear on a TTC podcast that one of the negatives of ovulation testing is that people don’t bother DTD because they haven’t seen a positive test, when all the while they could have been doing it and looking for signs in their body, like CM instead and DTD anyway. Been trying about 6 months and each month I feel like I learn something new!
