Does anyone else constantly live with false hope, knowing AF is coming??

It's getting me down.
I knew a few days ago AF was coming due to tiredness and feeling down, then still took a test a couple of days later and of course BFN, but somewhere in the back of my mind says it's not over til it's over (even though I know, as it's the same every month)...today AF has arrived and until I see clots and it gets heavier, my little mind goes "could be implantation bleeding?"

I know it's not. Why am I torturing myself.

Does anyone else do this?

It’s exhausting. I didn’t even ovulate this month!

TTCbaby2xox · 19/02/2025 16:46

@Playmobil4Eva it really is. That's the perfect word to describe it all.

Hoping for next month for you. ✨️

You too! Every month I put way more weight on the things that suggest I might be pregnant than those that don’t even though they are often few and fair between!

DreamingSwan · 19/02/2025 17:22

Yes, and it’s exhausting. I know my period is coming but trick myself into thinking I’m pregnant most months! You have to have hope otherwise you wouldn’t keep trying, but the hope makes each AF so upsetting.

Yes I do the same :( it takes me a good few days to start feeling okay again after the disappointment.

FinallyPregnant2022 · 19/02/2025 20:33

YES! 100% do the same - can't help it!

BlueEyes90 · 19/02/2025 20:37

Yep! Did exactly the same this month..

Tater05 · 19/02/2025 21:42

Yep for the 4 or 5 days leading up to my period I constantly change between knowing it's AF on the way because I feel like this every month to thinking it could actually be a pregnancy symptom and maybe I'm finally pregnant. It's so frustrating that the symptoms are exactly the same!

And same as you, when AF inevitably arrives I still think maybe it's implantation or early pregnancy bleeding.

TTCbaby2xox · 20/02/2025 14:09

Arghhh it's so frustrating isn't it!! So sorry you are all going through it too. Xx

I get myself in a right tizz. Testing 8dpo thinking there is a hint of a line saying it will be darker tomorrow. Tomorrow comes still no line but it’s only 9dpo 😂 and so on. I then get myself really down by 12dpo because I was convinced. Then when AF comes all the hope for the next cycle comes convincing myself this will be the cycle. It’s exhausting sending love x

Every single month! It’s exhausting! We’ve been TTC a second for just over a year now. Even if I get a faint positive I can’t feel better because we’ve had 4 chemicals!
