Has anyone experienced this before and had any joy? I don’t normally ovulate so late in my cycle so thinking do I just skip trying this month because I won’t have much of a luteal phase :/

Often if you ovulate late, your period will be late. So your luteal phase won't necessarily be short.

The luteal phase is pretty stable in most women, doesn’t really vary in length that much from month to month, if at all. It’s the phase between the first day of your last period and ovulation that has the variation and thus determines the length of your cycle.

I have long cycles and conceived my now 16 month old DS when I ovulated around CD30 - so really possible, so don't skip!
