Line eyes please! Am I going mad? 9DPO

Hi all,

I don’t know if I’ve been testing for too many months so completely lost the ability to know a positive from a stark white!

I’m 8/9 DPO. Had no symptoms so thought I was out and poured myself a nice glass of wine after a busy day. Thought I’d best double check so took a cheapy internet test just now.

I think I can see a shadow which came up within 4 mins but can anyone else see it? Just need to know if I can enjoy my red or pour it away?!

@fluffmoross no I don’t intend to tell my DH just yet, he was really affected by my MC and has struggled with pressure ever since so I don’t want to get his hopes up just yet. Once I have a digital positive (🤞) I’m gonna surprise him. Usually he’s right there with me tracking but this month he’s kept away from the apps etc so hopefully should be able to keep it a surprise. My period isn’t due until the 28th so have a lil while longer I suspect of very faint lines.

@MakeMeJuno thank you, I’m hoping I see a darkening in a couple of days. Will have to try and stay away from the tests but it’s impossible sometimes!

@LucyLou0527 not too personal for me either. So I got a peak on CD11 PM, we dtd CD11 AM and then CD13. I got ovulation cramps on CD13 so can only assume I ovulated then or CD14 (which is why I don’t know exactly what DPO I am!) This month we only dtd twice during the fertile window but in my experience, dtd the day of ovulation and the day after proved most successful. Definitely think it’s more of an art than a science!

I copied and did the water trick too and mine was the same, not a smudge! Hoping this is good news. Also read this on clear blue about faint pregnancy tests: https://uk.clearblue.com/pregnancy-tests/faint-line

@Suburbandreams that’s great!! fingers crossed the lines keep getting darker. Do you know when’s the ideal time to test with a digital? as I’m thinking the same (although told my partner my period was due today)

Hmmm well CB ultra early detect up to 5 days I think before you expect your period, I’m planning on testing with cheapies again in a couple of days time, if it’s darker then I’ll use a CB digital on Monday, which will be CD28 or roughly 14/15 dpo. What are you thinking?

@Suburbandreams I will keep testing with cheapies as I have about 30 left! Might go out and get a digital, I think they come in packs of two so might see how the line is looking tomorrow, if stronger do one then, if not maybe wait until saturday. There’s no way I can hold it in for that long 😬

I’m too nervous to take a digital, God knows why. I’m still driving myself mad with the cheapy strips haha I might cave too before my planned Monday testing…

Just nervous as I wasn’t meant to test today but couldn’t help it- it’s still very faint.

@Suburbandreams Thank you! I’ve just looked back at your photo from yesterday and it definitely looks darker today!! Have you got the digital tests or do you need to go out and buy them?

Thank you, that gives me some hope! I’ll have to go out and buy one or I’ll Amazon it for tomorrow I’ll see how confident I feel.

I got results back from the recurrent miscarriage clinic and my beta glycoprotein was raised sooooo they’ve got me on heparin injections, progesterone and aspirin. I told the gp I had a faint line and they said that’s enough to start the meds so I’m picking up my prescription later today!

Also for line progression in the morning/ when it comes to do the digital, here’s the difference in fmu (top) and smu (about an hour later and didn’t drink anything) did the digital on the smu. Looked it up and apparently it is a thing with smu!

I’m ok, holding off on testing! I’m on injections, progesterone, aspirin and folic acid so it’s quite a routine. I’m not due on for a few more days so holding off until then as I was driving myself mad googling faint lines. I’ve had a CP before so trying to keep busy! I keep getting lil twinges so trying to stay positive.

I’m worried about the line progression (but looking at previous threads apparently the one step tests are bad for this) So I did a clear blue this morning which I think looks ok??? I know I need to stop testing, but it’s just too tempting when you have so many in the house 😭😭

@fluffmoross when is/was AF due? I do think tests aren't designed to track progression! if you get a positive you're positive... but here I am testing everyday lol

AF should have come over the weekend and this is how I am looking today. Going to now try not to test until next weekend with a digital again to see if the weeks have changed. I really don't feel many symptoms!

@MakeMeJuno your test is looking great! I’m still not convinced by mine, but we’ll see! I was due AF at 10dpo so last Thursday!
I don’t really have any symptoms of note either 😬😬

So, my tests did not progress at all and never got a line on any other brand. My doctor is keeping me on the progesterone (but I don’t know why tbh!) for a few more days, I’ll come off it and should expect AF. It’s so confusing though, she said I’ll come on AF despite being on the progesterone but it’s known to prevent a bleed, hence why I’d rather just come off it now.

I'm doing well thanks for asking. No real symptoms yet so doesn't feel that real!
