Opk’s and BBT not matching - when did I ovulate?

Hi, as the title says I’m a bit confused as to when I ovulated this month..

So I had +OPK on CD 16, peak CD 17 and negative CD18 .. i also had ?ovulation cramps the evening of CD 16 (day of peak).

However my BBT didn’t rise until CD21 so Natural cycles is predicting I ovulated CD20.

Im now worried that the app is right and I ovulated late (in which case I’m most likely out this month). I’m hoping that maybe it just took a few days for my temp to rise, but don’t know how likely this is..

Any insight would be great, thank you!!

Are you using ovulation sticks?

Yeah, that’s what I mean by OPKS, I had positive ones on CD 16 & CD17 then negative after that

I mean I’ve been using ovulation tests for months I don’t test bbt. Never have. I’d get to confused I just look for my peak on tests and baby dance lots in that week. I’m 5dpo today x

I’ve used BBT for years (for both preventing pregnancy and TTC). And normally my temp goes up a couple of days after my peak ovulation test but 4 days just seems like a lot longer than usual to see a rise.
i also normally ovulate between CD16-18 so ovulating this month at day 20 would be fairly late.
I guess I’m just hoping my temps were slightly off and I did ovulate on day 17 like my ovulation test + cramping indicated! X

Yeah could definitely be the case 🥰 fingers crossed for us! When are you going to start testing? I already have because I’m inpatient and think I’ll see something 😂😂

Thank you! I’m not sure about testing.. if I go by my ovulation tests then I’m 6/7dpo but if I go by my BBT then Natural Cycles says I’m 4dpo (and will be likely be out this month as we wouldn’t have had sex close enough to ovulation.
I’d like to say I’ll just wait and see if my period comes but I’ll probably end up testing on Friday which would be potentially 11dpo. What about you? X

Honestly I’m a nightmare! Test from 5 dpo and just stare at it convincing myself I can see just something!! But there’s nothing there lol! You never know dar it only takes one! And then little bad boys can stay alive for 5 days in there haha! Xx

Just to update, I started getting very faint positives on Thursday and confirmed this morning with a FRER!
So I must have ovulated when my OPK predicted and my temp just took a few days to rise. Fingers crossed it sticks!
