Positive home pregnancy test results (I think), but digital test negative

Hi all,

Looking for some help and opinions please.

Husband and I have been trying to conceive for around 2 years, and I am cautiously hopeful that today I got my first ever positive pregnancy test result, although can't quite allow myself to believe it.

I'm hoping for opinions on two things please;

  1. Do these tests look positive / should I allow myself to believe this? The lines appeared within the timeframe but obviously are quite faint. I tried First Response, an amazon cheapie and a clearblue early test. I feel that the clearblue is the most reassuring result.
  2. I did a digital test (clearblue with weeks indicator) which I hoped would give some confirmation, but it states that gut wrenching "not pregnant". Are these tests known to be less sensitive? Anyone experienced this?

Thanks for your help!

Those look very clearly positive to me! Do you know how far along you would be? It may just be too early for the digital.

Thanks for your reply. Last period was 9th January so this would be 5 weeks. I have longer cycles due to PCOS which I have been working hard to reduce.

The pcos would make it harder with dating then. I would keep testing. Keeping everything crossed for you and hopefully things progress and you get a positive digital 🤞

I would say they are definitely positive. Mine were much fainter at first so they look like really strong lines to me. Huge congratulations 💐

Definitely look positive! Tentative congratulations!! Did you do the digital with the same urine sample? The FRERs pick up around 6miu and clearblue digital weeks is 10 so it could be that you have enough HCG for the FRER and not the digital. I'd wait a few days, do another cheapie to see if it's darker and if it is maybe try a digital again. Fingers crossed for you lovely!

Thank you - no it was a different urine sample slightly later in the day. I'll keep going and do another digital with first urine of the day in a couple of days.
