I have a beautiful daughter now 2 and half and would like another child. I have had 2 miscarriages, one before my daughter and one after last September 06.

I really want another child but it's not happening........We have been trying for a year now, apart from one month we have really gone for it but to no avail.

I am taking Agnes cactus and shea oak, healthy living, only drink about 3 glasses of wine a week, stable weight of 9 stone. I don't know what else I can do to try and get things moving. I am 37 and just feel fedup about the fact that my time may be up....

madame, you insert it up your fanjo before sex as I recall!

  • this lot are selling trial size for 7 quid

The other thing that I heard, possibly on the Pre-seed website, is that saliva can be the wrong ph and can damage sperm. For that reason, I started to avoid oral sex when ttc and maybe that made a difference too? It is so hard to know what is medically sound advice and what is old wives' tales but I was willing to try pretty much anything!

Thanks about the preseed tip, never heard of it so I will give it a try next month if no luck this month

Madame,

Re your comment:-

"I had a laparoscopy because we had been trying for 2 years with no results, they did it as investigation and when it was all clear they just said we had unexplained infertility".

That is poor service on the part of the hospital. Bloody hell, they put you through surgery!. Surgery like this should not be done without good cause; this is often done if endometriosis is suspected. BTW did they not test your husband at that time?.

Don't bother about ferning; that will just tie you further up in knots. Best thing to do instead is go all out to determine the underlying cause/s of the fertility problem now. The GP is the first point of contact in this regard, he can refer you.

Saliva testing is supposed to produce a fern like pattern, hence the other term used. Would stay well away from any testing of saliva; its not at all proven.

thanks, don't like the sound of that at all anyway.
