Cramping can be normal but “extreme”? No. Do you have pain anywhere else?

Severe cramps and pain in the shoulder could indicate an ectopic pregnancy. Maybe get in touch with your EPU to rule this out?

Thankyou. I've also got back and pelvic pain.

Cramping is normal but "extreme" cramps sound worrying- probably best to get it checked out just in case of ectopic pregnancy.

OP I had this when I had an ectopic pregnancy. Please go see your doctor ASAP.

Do it sooner rather than later. If it is an ectopic pregnancy the earlier you catch it then the less risk it causes to your health. Good luck x

Little update - I went to the hospital today, they did a transvaginal scan and couldn't see anything but as I'm only 4 weeks, that's expected. My womb is thick ready to accept a baby. They did bloods to check my hcg, to which I get the results tomorrow, and dependent on these I'll have to either have them repeated in 48 hrs to rule out eptopic or have a scan in a weeks time to ensure baby is developing as they should 🤞
