Temps are great just waiting to get to 18 then I'll stop.

LBOT I think you should test with a first response tomorrow, good luck regardless

lastboxoftampons · 07/06/2008 19:05

Haven't tested yet - the spotting is so light that I don't really know what to think. I bought a couple of tests though (only Tesco brand, they didn't have FR) and I guess if my temp is still high in the morning, I'll give it a go then. I'll be sure to let you all know thanks for asking!

UptheSquack · 07/06/2008 20:12

If your temp is still up tomorrow then you'll have a triphasic chart LBOT!

Missmodular · 07/06/2008 20:57

Squack Sorry to be crap but I'm not sure how to link to my chart - do I just post the address that's at the top when I'm on the page? That one seems to be completely different everyone else's...

Minxi, it took seven months to conceive DD - doesn't seem that long now but at the time I was really beginning to think I was infertile - I've got stage three endometriosis with cysts on both ovaries so I take nothing for granted...

Oh- my temp!

Hi guys - sorry to say it's bad news And even worse because it's here in full force and made my LP a day shorter. At the beginning of the month I thought I was through faffing around with all the vitamins, etc, so I stopped taking B6 because I didn't think it was doing anything in the first place. Unfortunatley, I think it was. I'm not sure what to do next as not only do I have a short LP but I spot for a few days also. I know it's crazy but I almost feel like I had an implanter this month, but my LP just wouldn't support it

Hope everyone else is well.

herbgarden · 08/06/2008 19:31

sorry LBOT - what a disappointment....better luck next month maybe.

sorkycake · 08/06/2008 22:25

Oh no! I've only just logged on and seen this .
Is there any mileage in going to the GP's about your short LP?

Firstly I have finally got the thermometer out of 2 months of laziness and back in action. had the aforementioned "talk" with DH which went well. Really was going to make a real effort this month, but then I forgot to take my meds so will try anyway, but not hoping for much.

LBOT as a "sister of the short LP" I do sympathise at the frustration. my natural LP after DS, this time last year was a steady 7-9 days, but we had a blip in November of 12 days, which I too take as a successful fertilization. Vit B6 can really amke a difference (although did not for me, merely made me irritable, teary and could not sleep) but I do know of several cases (and several graduates from this thread) where it has made a difference of several days LP.

It is worth going to your GP, as the usualy round of blood tests will show if you are producing enough progesterone (which is often a cause of short LP). In my case, I am now on clomid which has improved things in terms of cycle length and LP. So do not feel there is nothing that can be done. Other things to look at are reflexology (mid cycle to stimulate the progesterone), Agnus Castus and I have heard that Evening Primrose can help. Although check with a GP before taking very heavy meds and many people recommend only taking pre OV.

Hope that helps. :0)

I'm so frustrated with this! Yesterday I had red blood - but not a normal heavy period, I would say, maybe medium. By the end of the day, it had tapered off to light. This morning same thing. So I had 1 day super light - barely there spotting, 1 day of spotting a little heavier, 1/2 day of what I would consider a medium-ish period and 1 day of light again. It's all very weird! I had taken a test on Sunday morning, just to check I wasn't having strange heavy-ish implantation or something because my temp was still above the coverline, but of course it was negative. Definitely going to get back on the B6 and see my GP. Thanks everyone.

minxi · 09/06/2008 14:30

Sorry Squack I copied from nappy and didn't see you missed off...of course you can stay - as long as you bring us all good luck bfp's too

minxi · 09/06/2008 18:14

LBOT have you tested at all... the medium/light then spotting sounds a little bit odd....could be you are pg but just having a light period/spot around the time you could have been due... did you spot then have a normal period last month ?

Yarnie · 10/06/2008 06:53

Thanks, Lottie. This morning my period arrived in full force - I guess what's really confusing me is it seemed to start, but then reduced to spotting and then got heavy again. At any rate, it's irregular and I'm going to try to see my GP next week. In the meantime, I'm back on the B6 - I think it was doing more good than I thought, I had horrible PMS this month. I didn't even want to be around me!
