Firstly I have finally got the thermometer out of 2 months of laziness and back in action. had the aforementioned "talk" with DH which went well. Really was going to make a real effort this month, but then I forgot to take my meds so will try anyway, but not hoping for much.
LBOT as a "sister of the short LP" I do sympathise at the frustration. my natural LP after DS, this time last year was a steady 7-9 days, but we had a blip in November of 12 days, which I too take as a successful fertilization. Vit B6 can really amke a difference (although did not for me, merely made me irritable, teary and could not sleep) but I do know of several cases (and several graduates from this thread) where it has made a difference of several days LP.
It is worth going to your GP, as the usualy round of blood tests will show if you are producing enough progesterone (which is often a cause of short LP). In my case, I am now on clomid which has improved things in terms of cycle length and LP. So do not feel there is nothing that can be done. Other things to look at are reflexology (mid cycle to stimulate the progesterone), Agnus Castus and I have heard that Evening Primrose can help. Although check with a GP before taking very heavy meds and many people recommend only taking pre OV.
Hope that helps. :0)
