Hi all,

Ive shared on here a few times about my ttc journey. Latest update is I’ve just finished cycle 3 of letrozole to give my ovaries a boost, but otherwise nothing health wise wrong with myself or DH. Had a miscarriage last August and been ttc again ever since, tracking using cheapy OPKs.

My recurrent miscarriage appointment finally came through and I went on Monday. Was fairly thorough tbf, they even scanned me but the lady said “oh you’ve ovulated this month from your right side”; she said she could see 12 follicles on the right, 6 on the left and the corpus luteum.

i had to ask if she was sure because it was CD7! My period ended on CD4, and she said I had already ovulated so how is this physically possible? The consultant said oh you might be gearing up to ovulate, but if that was the case the corpus luteum surely wouldn’t have been visible?

can anyone shed any light? We dtd CD6 but my OPKs are dropping and I have no clue!

Couple of questions:
why a recurrent mc appointment after 1 mc?
what sizes were the remaining follicles?
what is the reason for the letrozole? Were you not previously ovulating?

So in total I’ve had three MC unfortunately, August was just the most recent at 6 weeks 6 days.
They didn’t mention the sizes, just that the dominant one was on the right and “you ovulated from the right side this cycle”, due to the fact they could see the corpus luteum.
I think I ovulate sporadically and the doctor advised letrozole in case my ovaries were “lazy”.

16 is quite a lot of follicles. Have you ever been investigated for PCOS? It may explain the numbers of follicles, your sporadic ovulation and the mc sadly.

Do you know your AMH results?

Haven’t been flagged for PCOS and the doctor said the high follicle count could be because of the letrozole. My LH is still reading low so I can only wait and see if I ovulate as normal around day 14/15 :(

My amh was 28.2 p/mol

My cycles were up the wall after my second miscarriage as I had to have a D&C to avoid sepsis. It took 8 weeks for my period to come back, and when it did I ovulated the day after my period stopped.

I know this is the case because I fell pregnant. My bleeding stopped on CD8, we had sex CD9, and I got a positive test on CD18.

Sorry to keep asking you questions but do you know your LH and FSH numbers?

Don’t know my LH but my FSH was 6.9 IU/L

An update in case anyone stumbles across this thread with a similar thing.

I’ve been tracking ovulation and got a peak LH test this morning. So I can only assume they saw I was about to ovulate on the scan and a mature follicle was ready.
