Hi everyone, I'm on CD 7 (I think.. last month was a very weird cycle for me) and going to start ovulation testing with the easy @ home strips and use the app they have.

I've used the clear blue smiley face tests the past 3 cycles but wanted to try something different this month.. but I'm worried I'm going to read them wrong as the clear blue ones were very straightforward!

If anyone has used these strips, what time of day did you test? I've read not to use the FMU so plan to test at 6pm (due to work) until I get a line and then try and test at 12pm too..

And did you not drink/wee for 2 hours before doing the test? With clear blue I left it 4 hours but struggled!

Would be great to chat to anyone who's also hoping this will be the month🤞🏼

11 days dpo

Definite lines there, and definitely getting darker. Will continue to keep all fingers crossed for this sticky bean.

xTinkerbell · 25/02/2025 13:13

I thought i ovulated cd13 so AF due today, yesterday would have been 14 dpo but just spotting so assume i got it wrong and due tomorrow.

I don’t usually spot before a period but did the cycle before last so who knows.

LuckyDuck93 · 25/02/2025 13:37

@Taysonic I think it really does take a bit of getting used to, i used to use natural cycles and found premom a bit more fiddly, plus everything you seem to click on says "pay for premom premium" 😂
I think you might find it levels out a bit more after the first month of using it, it definitely took a few cycles for me before it was totally accurate,

@LucyLou0527 sounds like you've given yourself the best chance possible,

@DearDarcy that looks great, everything crossed for you!

xTinkerbell · 26/02/2025 09:28

still spotting but no period

too scared to test because of the spotting

Fingerscrossed2025 · 26/02/2025 09:35

Purplemoon4 · 26/02/2025 10:04

Hello
I think I’m going crazy seeing lines. I’m about 9dpo do you think these lines mean anything? I inverted the image

Oh, I'm so so sorry to hear this @Fingerscrossed2025 Sending you so much love, kindness and well wishes. Thinking of you. Wish there was more I could do or say.

Taysonic · 26/02/2025 11:43

Right, I'm CD14 today. Obviously my first month of temping and opking and I think I've been expecting or hoping for some miracle sign from there that will ping up in big flashing lights to say: it's go time! Conscious that it's likely I could miss my LH peak (my fluid intake is sporadic so OPKing is probably not particularly reliable for me!) and by the time I see changes in temp, that might be too late.

So, just going to give it a good go over the next few days and see what happens. I am up to my ears in coursework for an additional work-related qualification... but us modern women can do it all right? Smash out a working week, do top-class parenting, write high grade assignments and still find the time for excellent ba-doinking.

LuckyDuck93 · 26/02/2025 11:50

@Fingerscrossed2025 so sorry to hear this, I know there is nothing I can say that will make it feel better but just sending you lots of love,

@Taysonic not forgetting keeping fit, maintaining friendships & looking after ourselves too 😉
I tend to find that the less I drink the better I find the tests tbh, sometimes i drink too much and my wee is practically just water so the tests bring up nothing, have you had an increase in the numbers on premom yet? Mines just started increasing a bit more today so probably expecting peak tomorrow morning, but thats only something ive learned from looking back at the previous few months.
Ive been trying guafenicin by the way and EWCM has definitely increased- not sure if thats a coincidence.

your sticky bean is around the corner, sending you a big virtual hug 💕

Mama09876 · 26/02/2025 14:50

@Fingerscrossed2025 Im so sorry 😔 be kind to yourself this week, lots of chocolate.

@Taysonic id go for it! Seems like its roughly the right time for you & maybe the egg meets the sperm plan will help catch the days!

I have given up trying to have it all 🤣 it’s not possible something always gives. I’ve been in a similar boat, with degree level exams, full time work, toddler, house, wife, own mental stability all got to much!! 🤦🏼‍♀️ & lots of it has been satisfactory level parenting and work whilst I got the exams out the way and just didn’t even try give any time to house/being a wife/own mental health 🙈😂 ooo and on top of that trying for another baby! No wonder I’ve not been able to get pregnant. The stress.
Try not put to much pressure on yourself this month! If it works great but sometimes other things get prioritised then can focus on the others next month. Well thats my plan any way! 😂

@LuckyDuck93 Sounds as though you’re nearly ready to go! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

So I was going to have March off from trying but I’ve worked out on Natural Cycles that because Mr is working away in the week from March we’ve only got Friday-Sunday together from March onwards and of course May/June/July I’ll be ovulating in the week so those months are pretty much written off! 🤦🏼‍♀️ so I’m just going for it now, ideally don’t want a Christmas baby but I can’t miss an opportunity to try! The joys of working away!

Mama09876 · 26/02/2025 14:51

@xTinkerbell Aww Damn spotting sounds like AF arriving but you never know! Have you tested?

xTinkerbell · 26/02/2025 15:40

@Mama09876 that’s exactly what I thought but it’s unusual for me to spot.

Spotted from late CD27, through CD28 & a little this morning but seems to have stopped now. Even though it’s been a few days it’s a very little amount and I kept waiting for it to become a full blown period but nothing so far so I’m very confused.

Haven’t tested because I assumed AF was coming but now we’ve gotten a few days down the line I’m unsure

The numbers on PreMom kind of bobbed around a little bit, but today is definitely hiking up! Had gone up this morning, and just tested now and that line is definitely darkening up. Heading in the right direction. Will keep testing just to see what happens over the next couple of days and get busy! I am kind of looking forward to having a full cycle (and future cycles) of data to look back on and to learn more about myself and how my body works.

I'd completely forgotten about the cough syrup, so I'm SO glad you mentioned it. Glad it seems to be working, and I've just had some so hopefully it'll help over the next few days. How long did it take for you to notice any difference?

@Mama09876 the working away must REALLY make things difficult. A friend of mine had similar issues as she's a flight attendant. Once she got the hang of OPKing though, it really helped her with identifying the right times and when it was possible. I was a March conceived baby (my Dad's birthday in March, I try not to think about it) but my birthday is in November as I was a preemie - so... you never know what will happen!

Hope you get some answers soon @xTinkerbell - will keep my fingers crossed, the agonising wait to see which way things will go is so frustrating. We're here with you.

Hello sorry to be a pain, I realised my photos earlier were very unclear. Wondering if anyone can help, I just took a clear blue and this line came up straight away (so does that mean it’s unlikely to be a evap line?) I’m really struggling to believe and just want to know either way 😅

Aww thanks so much for the reassurance! Really helps to have someone else agreeing so i know I haven’t just gone crazy! ❤️

LuckyDuck93 · 27/02/2025 08:38

@Purplemoon4 I definitely think that's positive, congratulations!

@Mama09876 what a pain that is, my hubby worked away last cycle and I made him come back for a night 😆although i was lucky that he wasn't too far away. Hope you manage to take some time for yourself amongst the madness.

@Taysonic I started taking it Monday afternoon- i also forgot to start with, i'd say I noticed a difference by tuesday afternoon. So after saying I thought i'd get my peak today, I actually got it last night, the line went from faint in the morning to really dark last night, I always forget how quick my peak is!

@xTinkerbell are you going to test or just wait and see? how confusing for you x

Oooh, we're really similar date/peak wise although despite seeing a rise yesterday, my rise is continuing today so it's difficult to know (without any previous info to go on!) the timing of when it will peak but we're definitely in the zone. It is a bit later in my cycle than I had anticipated, so if this is normal for me, also may point to why I've potentially not had previous success (I know I've only been trying THIS time for two cycles, but had tried unsuccessfully previously for more or less three years).

Update on my mammoth qualification assignments: getting there! Still got a LOT of work to do, but have written well over 10,000 words towards it this week so far, despite still working normal working hours so I'm chuffed with that. Have the day off tomorrow to get it completed (and OH has also taken the day off, so that he can supply me with drinks/snacks!). Can't wait for this to be done!

Mama09876 · 27/02/2025 11:49

@Purplemoon4 that certainly looks like a positive! Congratulations!

@Taysonic that made me laugh the ‘dads birthday in March - try not to think about it’ 🤣🤣
My LO’s birthday is in Nov so I was just trying to spread things out a little over the year 😂 but as we all know it’s really not that easy when trying to conceive!! I think right now I’m becoming a little bit more desperate to have a 2nd so I’m just going for it next month. We have March and April together on ovulation week so fingers crossed!
the end is in sight with the assignment! You got this 💪🏻
@LuckyDuck93 i really wish I could just get him back for the night but won’t be possible he’ll be like 5/6 hrs away 🤦🏼‍♀️

@xTinkerbell i think you should test test test! Put your mind at ease? How many DPO would you be? Sorry if you’ve already said I loose track on the thread 😂

Lynnloou · 27/02/2025 14:56

Hi all! Currently 7dpo , symptom spotting to beat the band! promise myself every month I won't, but here we are googling galore 🙈

Has anyone experienced night time peeing at this stage of cycle? Been up the last 2 nights bursting for a pee, which is completely out of the norm for me.

Purplemoon4 · 27/02/2025 15:35

Good luck @Lynnloou
I had night time weeing and weeing more in general! Then some nausea, breast pain and tiny bit of cramping for the days after 7dpo. When will you test?
