Is short LH surge okay?

Hi all,

so I seem to have a super short LH surge. Yesterday I was stark negative on opk strip and clear blue digital opk then this morning BLAZING positive opk and static smile. I had a random bit of ewcm 4 days ago (have been testing since and all neg) and then a lot of ewcm this morning. Planning to dtd tonight but is it too late? It’s hard to know when is the best time when my body goes from 0 to READY in 12 hours! I’ve never had a flashing smile on a CB either, it’s always gone from negative to static.

My surge happens within a space of 40 minutes every time and I've been pregnant four times. It doesn't affect your chances. Best thing to do is really look for the EWCM and as soon as you see the first bit, get going on doing the deed. You'll still ovulate 12-48 hours after a positive OPK, so you have the same time frame to DTD still as anyone else.

Over time, I've learned I get a small amount of EWCM beginning 3 days before I ovulate. My OPKs and digitals go from zero to READY too.
