I’m starting Letrozole 2.5 this week after 3.5 yrs secondary infertility. Has anyone used it and did it work quickly ?

3 cycles but we increased the dose after the first cycle. Are you having ultrasounds / blood tests to monitor and confirm ovulation?

I was put on 5mg with a HCG trigger shot and did have one monitoring scan prior to trigger. Took 1 cycle to conceive but we were certain there were no male factor issues due to prior tests, and my pcos meaning that I wasn't ovulating.

Wishing you all the best x

Following along as I am on cycle 2 of 5mg of of letrozole. My specialist said to take it due to possible “lazy ovaries”.

One thing I’m not sure of is how often to dtd?

Cycle 1 we caught the few days before ovulation and it did cause intense ovulation pain which I found oddly reassuring! This cycle I’ll report back…

I’m meant to have a scan on day 10 to see what’s happening. I was told to start Letrozole day 3 of my cycle but I’ve seen some people do day 2, 3 or 4?? Does it make a difference? Also what time of the day seems to work best as I’m worried about side effects

I’m doing day 2-6 and I take them just before bed so usually 10pm each night. I haven’t had massive side effects apart from feeling more sensitive than usual (but that might be me!), nausea, no appetite and intense ovulation pain.
