I’m new here, “hi”. So, i posted the other day asking for help with ovulation ect and it was helpful as i’m clueless about this whole process. Ovulated 01/01/25- 02/01/25 and have been active with my partner on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th (dont know if you need to know that lol sorry if tmi). I woke up in the middle of the night last night like i needed the loo like wee electric shock pain in my sides and when i went to the bathroom there was pink on the toilet paper after i pee’d like the full width of the toilet paper not just a few wee spots. It was like dusty pastel baby pink colour. That’s been 5 days since we started sleeping together trying surely that’s too early for any kinda progress, it’s not a great sign sure it’s not i bet 😔? I googled myself into confusion so thought i’d ask here because you are a wealth of knowledge. x

Hi OP, welcome.

First of all, Google will be your worst enemy when TTC or pregnant (seriously). Stick to a couple of reliable websites and MN for anecdotal replies and stay away from anything else or you'll absolutely drown in it.

What you describe could be implantation bleeding or it could be spotting before a period. What you'll probably find when TTC is that you start symptom spotting every waking moment and your body can play some cruel tricks on you. It's hard not to get caught up in it all.

As you've just started this journey, try not to put massive pressure on yourselves straight away. Just have regular unprotected sex throughout the month then a bit more often in your fertile week (it doesn't need to be all day every day, or even every day). Also, for the sake of your mental health, try to avoid testing too early - it won't change anything. Wait to see if your period arrives and if it doesn't, take a test.

You could be one of the lucky ones who conceives straight away but, be aware, it's totally normal for a fertile couple to take 12 months plus to fall pregnant.

Good luck.

@sel2223 Thanks so much for that. It’s so nice to be among people who have seen things before and no question is a stupid question. I ovulated 01/01/25, my period is due on the 19/01/25 and it’s like clockwork since forever which will be helpful while ttc i guess. I ovulated early (day 9/10) i’m on cd14 now and it’ll be 12days until my period comes (or doesn’t 🤞🏼). I don’t expect to be that lucky but i was thrown with the pink discharge/bleeding tho it’s not like blood it’s creamy. It’s not coming onto a pantyliner only when i wipe and it’s not as much as in the night. I never have ovulation bleeding or after sex bleeding either so i was just took aback. I appreciate any help on here, it’s a great wee space. You’re right, we’d said in December we’d give it a year quite happily and content before we’d put any extra effort in apart from the opk tests. I’ll definitely not be googling form now on it was ridiculous the conflicting information, much rather speak to real people. Thanks so much for replying x
