Had a scan today, confused about whether I'm pregnant or not

I did a test on boxing day and it was positive (2-3 on CB digital). I have PCOS and very irregular cycles so it's pretty impossible for me to know how far along I am. In my own predictions I thought 7/8 weeks.

I went for a scan today and she said I was too early, maybe just before 6 weeks. The scan showed a sack (?) and she said I can go back next week for a rescan.

I'm just confused, am I actually pregnant or is it too early to know?

The sac means you are very early pregnant.

To early Op. Hopefully next week you’ll see a little more. The fact they’ve seen the sack and it’s all in the right place is good though! Congratulations

Yes, if your test was positive you will be pregnant. You can’t really see anything on an ultrasound in weeks 4-5 (2-3 weeks after conception) because the embryo is still so small.

A positive test and a sac means you are pregnant. 2-3 weeks on that test means 4-5 weeks pregnant which is too early to see a heartbeat (as you’d now be 5-6 weeks) so it all tracks. Good luck OP!

Oh my, thanks everyone I can't explain how happy I am to hear that it should be a pregnancy. I've been so worried since I left. I was kicking myself for not just asking the lady who did the ultrasound but I think I was too scared to hear bad news.

I had 2 MC before DC1 so praying next week I see a little tiny something in there.
