Anyone had cramping for a week after dtd? and question about Clearblue digital ovulation?

Hi everyone.

Starting TTC properly, and I feel I need to get things right as we are both older.

So for many years we've used withdrawal method as another child wouldn't have been a disaster. TMI but just so I'm clear, he has not finished inside for a long time. On the 19th December on Day 13 of cycle, for the first time in years did not withdraw. The next day and for a whole week after, I had bad cramps like AF cramps. I sometimes get cramping between periods (another reason I suspect I may have issues), but NEVER as bad this. Has anyone else had this and did you ever find out why? Wonder if I could have endo and semen triggered something or burst a cyst or something.

Also I am going to buy the Clearblue Digital Ovulation kit. I'm confused. There is one with 10 tests and one with 45 tests. So the holder thing, would it last over say 2 cycles then?

I had significant cramping for 10 days before had a positive pregnancy test. I never cramp between periods either so it was a huge tell tale sign for me.

@Lulu89x Thanks. Do you know what day po you got your positive test? The cramping literally started the next morning after dtd, that's why I'm thinking it couldn't be anything to do with conception that early. It lasted just over a week, then got a stitch like pain very low on one side for about 2 days, now just weird bloaty feelings and backache. Also had ewcm yesterday when I usually get that at ovulation. No idea!! I am not sure when or if I ovulated, but if it was day 14 / 15 I'm 9 / 10 days dpo and tested this morning negative. Only dtd once but we need to up our game lol.

lol I tested at 10DPO but I’m certain if I tested at 9 I would have known. My test was very clear. I DTD once 3 days before ovulation. The cramping started from 1DPO and didn’t stop for 4 days and then continued from 6-10! That paired with sore boobs and nipples, I just knew

@Lulu89x How lovely, congrats xx. I'm going to test tomorrow am it should be about 10 dpo. Think I'm probably out this month because I didn't get ewcm bang on mid cycle like I usually do, instead I got it on day 22/23, so maybe ovulated late or not at all and only dtd on day 13.

Do you have any other symptoms? You know your body best. If you didn’t get the EWCM then chances are you didn’t ovulate at your regular date. That being said, when I’ve been very sexually active, it’s hard to tell anyway! Test tomorrow and if it’s negative, don’t drive yourself mad and just wait for your period. Good luck!
