Just a quickie, before DS gets up from nap. BB sorry to hear your sister is being a meanie.
Kayz - fab about DS walking, it only takes a couple of steps and that's it, they're off.
Cals - your DS sounds fab! Hope he is feeling better now.
Diege & Cals, thanks for advice/comments on being a working mum. Sounds like you have it well under control. My life is made more complicated by the fact that my work is min. 40 mins drive from here and also that DH works shifts, so if I'm away on a Tues or Weds I need a babysitter for the evenings. However, it does have its advantages that he sees a bit more of DS during the week when he is on a late shift and has him that morning.
You do sound like you have very understanding bosses, which is fab.
Right, need to get DS up, so we can wonder to shops before they shut.
We bought a new mattress this morning - closing down sale nearby and we really needed a new mattress. We currently have the old one downstairs in the lounge as a trampoline for DS until we get the council to lift it - he thinks it's fab - so cute! Have a good afternoon all.

Diege · 04/05/2008 15:51

Ooh tinks that could be implantation then?? Fingers crossed! BB, oh how lovely of your sister - does she realise how upsetting she's being, or is she in totally blinkered teenage mode?
Kay, mmm, which magnum did you have? I always have the white one - feels like a real treat having one doesn't it! Cals, hmm yes I can see how your dh working shifts might be difficult to work working away around. We're lucky that dh's employers are quite flexible too, so the weeks he wors away (has been Thurs and Fris until recently) and I've been away too, theyt have let him swop days around etc. Sympathies on the commute! I have a 4 hour round trip (better than it sounds as I can relax on train!)but it does make getting back in time for handovers one more thing to stress think about! I am sure you will be fine, esp if you are already thinking about things. And good going onthe mattress front - lots of goffing planned then? .
I have just done the Davina warm up and aerobics. Very shaky, but motivated by the sight of my white flab in the lounge mirror!

calsworld · 04/05/2008 17:00

My tummy hurts today, its been bugging me all day, but getting worse - hope I haven't got an infection or something. Its really tender if I press it, low down around CS scar area - any clues anyone? Urine infection perhaps?

Had a bad headache but a couple of paracetamol have killed that off thank goodness.

DH got back at about lunchtime and he's been quite lovely.

Went to get DS' shoes checked and they still fit fine! He got them in Feb so lovely they're lasting so long. They're clarks cruisers so they weren't cheap either.

(Diege - its Starshine that's got the 40 min commute). I was really lucky, I used to have an hours drive to get to work but whilst I was on maternity leave, the office I was based at closed and moved to an admin base only 10 mins from my house! RESULT!

Cosmogirl · 04/05/2008 17:08

Hi all,

Hope everyone's having a good bank hol weekend. Mine has been not so great. We set ourselves task of laying a patio....tis a lot harder and much much more work than it looks!! Needless to say, it is going to take a lot longer than a weekend to complete. I keep thinking, we will soon be sat on it with a glass of wine in hand laughing about this weekend. Hard to laugh at the moment tho. DH is taking it all far too seriously bless him!

BB - seafront restaurant sounds lovely but sorry your sis in being a pain. Siblings - how would have 'em!?

Diege - lol at Davina DVD muffin top - I must do some exercise, feel really heavy at the mo.

Nat - Gosh you were up early. Pregnancy sounds so odd - am looking forward to it but not looking forward to it in equal measures [bit scared of the unknown tbh]

Tink - best of luck to you this month. All the symptoms sound very promising.

Hi to everyone else

Diege · 04/05/2008 17:27

Sorry Cals, meant to address commute stuff etc to Star, arghh, my brain is addled! Hope your tummy is ok - touch wood it's not a urine infection, but lets think more postively eh and put it down to early pregnancy twinges . Hi Cosmo . ahh that patio will be done by the next BH eh!! And the weather will be better then!
Right, dds back, so final push to bed then we're going to relax with a takeaway, a film, and, oh yes, a gof [yawn]. I go off goffing totally in the days leading up to af!! (my body probably thinks there's no point!)

calsworld · 04/05/2008 17:39

Oh, I hadn't thought of that Diege and I'm obviously not browsing early pregnancy symptom sites.

Thing is, I thought I ov'd on CD 18, which would make me DPO4, but now I'm not sure if these tummy pains are OV pains...in which case I need to get DS into bed pronto and magic some libido from somewhere!

I do seem to be a bit damp down below.

I really fancy a bath...perhaps I'll leave DS with DH for a bit and head off for one.

kayzisexpecting · 04/05/2008 17:44

BB, My sister is like that. I don't talk to her if I have to and just talk through Dad.

We went upstairs to have a sort out and I fell asleep for about 2 hours in bed DS fell asleep in his cot and Dh actually got loads done and said it was better we were both asleep.

Cosmo, I hope the patio gets finished soon.

Diege, I had one of those new Mayan ones. They are milk chocolate with spices in and chocolate ice cream. The are so good. I had a white one at mum's yesterday, they are my fave.

Diege · 04/05/2008 17:53

Cals, even if they were ov pains, you should be covered with your extensive goffing . The pains can only be a GOOD SIGN .
Glad you're getting some rest Kay - not sure about those new magnums - does the spice thing work with choccy?

tinkiswaiting · 04/05/2008 17:54

if i had brown gunge when went to the loo could it be period related how long is luteal phase only on 8dpo surely to early for period to come

kayzisexpecting · 04/05/2008 17:54

Yes it does. They are lovely. They also do an Edcudor(sp) dark chocolate one but I don't like dark chocolate.

tinkiswaiting · 04/05/2008 17:56

anyoneeeeee

kayzisexpecting · 04/05/2008 17:58

I don't know Tink, it could be but like you say it's probably to early.

Diege · 04/05/2008 18:06

I think brown gunk is more likely ov bleed? having said that, it could also be start of early af if you have short cycles...so hard to tell, esp if this is your first month of temps. Teuch will know, we'll honk her, HONK!!!!

kayzisexpecting · 04/05/2008 18:16

Hey hey Other people are using our GOF! How cool that we have a started a new Acronym!!

NatalieJane · 04/05/2008 18:20

I'm not here, not really! Just need to sit down for a bit!

Tink at 8dpo it most likely is too early for period (not impossible though), so it could be implantation, it could just be a bit of brown gunk! Fingers crossed it is implantation.

Cals am also crossing fingers for early pregnancy twinges, but of course urine infections are much more common in pregnancy

Sorry about my moan this morning, was very inconsiderate of me I was just too tired to think!

kayzisexpecting · 04/05/2008 18:22

Its ok Nat, we all need to moan sometime or another. Like me for example. I am always moaning how tired I am.

NatalieJane · 04/05/2008 18:27

Isn't anyone testing yet?

I keep thinking I'll just nip on to see if anyone has, and no one bloody has! It's not good enough!! Who said they were taking over from me ordering asking people to test? Not doing a very good job are you?!!

kayzisexpecting · 04/05/2008 18:29

I was taking over but no one listens to me. I need pictures.

SOMEONE MUST TEST!!!!

Need help?

NatalieJane · 04/05/2008 18:32

I just used my last test, so I can't, but have a lovely stack of about 8/9 tests all lined up in time order...

I don't think you ever ever ever get tired of seeing two lines!

kayzisexpecting · 04/05/2008 18:34

No you don't. I do keep looking at mine. I was tempted to get another test but then I thought it was pointless.

NatalieJane · 04/05/2008 18:41

I was looking at DS2 this afternoon, and it hit me for the first time, he is going to be a big brother... how can he be big anything? He is still sooo small!

Lot's of werido thought whizzing around, what if's, OMG's, and bloody hell's! LOL

It will sink in eventually I'm sure

kayzisexpecting · 04/05/2008 18:43

People keep saying to ds "oh you're going to be a big brother" It seems so wierd.

nobodyputsBBinthecorner · 04/05/2008 18:45

kayzisexpecting · 04/05/2008 18:49

DS has just pushed his biscuit into the laptop screen. I think he is trying to share it with all of you. I was trying to get him to say your 'names' earlier but he just laughed at me and said Sam. My brother is called Sam and it's his fave thing to say.

NatalieJane · 04/05/2008 18:59

Good luck BB Hope it works

Right I am off now, baths and bed, and then we are having the roast lamb, have tried some of it, and it tastes fine (luckily!!!) So am looking forward to that!

Oh and I want at least one test tomorrow - slackers, just because I'm not here, doesn't mean you all go into hiding for the week - I want results!!!

G'night all xxx
